When was the last time you stopped complaining and started to be thankful for what you are today?
Sometimes life can seem hard and uphill, but it's part of the game to go through and start enjoying the little moments, the daily challenges and the new goals appearing.
When was the last time you took a walk in the forest just for the pleasure of stepping on dry leaves and smelling the weat floor?
I think our biggest problem is we tend to think life is too much, that we are never doing the right thing, we are not making a huge effort and we are not enough for whatever we think we should be.
Truth is we are always doing good and we are always enough!!!
Life will be changing and most probably always challenging because that's what's keeping us alive.
You never get everything done...only until you die, so start enjoying the process, feel free to trust that you are doing it the best you can, that success is not equal to being drained and exhausted, that you can take a day of...or two damnit!! And it's going to be fine!!! This second is unique, squeeze it and milk it. Cause tomorrow those beautiful leaves are not going to be there... until next year.
Happy weekend to all of you!!!
Stop # 3 Toward a Frugal Road Trip: Sight See fo’ FREE. 💰😎🚙
Now, I don’t think EVERYTHING you do or see on your road trip has to be 0 cost, but you’d be amazed what is out there for free! We use an app called “Roadtrippers” to find random lookouts and things to do that are near wherever we are on the road. We remain flexible in case we wanna just take an exit and see what that town has to offer! We’ve also asked on Facebook before “hey, what is there to do or see in *insert state here*. I’m sure you’re friends and fam would love to share their recommendations with you! Once we even saw the World’s Largest Gnome. 🤪😂 have you ever seen “The World’s *somethingest* *something*” ??? 🌎🌍🌏
We could stare at this photo all day. Those colours. Those lanterns. Those #accidentallywesanderson vibes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
@dumitrip nailed the symmetry in this incredible shot. Go and check out his feed and see the beautiful photos he's sharing with the Oodls network⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Cuando salgamos del enfrascamiento de nuestro propio ego y cuando escapemos como ardillas de la jaula que es nuestra personalidad para volver nuevamente al bosque, temblaremos de frío y de miedo. Entonces nos pasarán cosas que harán que no sepamos quiénes somos. La vida, fresca y reveladora, se nos adentrará”. – D. H. Lawrence
Lombok. This beautiful island is situated right next to Bali but gets way less attention. Although it rained every day we were there, it was definitely worth the visit! If you've been thinking of going but aren't sure now because of the earthquakes, I'd encourage you to go ahead and go. Everyone we met was so lovely, the surfing is great, the beaches are pretty amazing when the sun is out, and it's an easy day trip to the fabulous Gili islands.
Stop #2 toward a frugal road trip: bring your own food! 🍌🌯🍪
Now, I’d never say ALL of your food has to be purchased at a bargain or in bulk and then brought along in your little cooler, but SOME of it will certainly save you some compulsive spending at Bojangles (#guilty ) while on the road. Full disclosure - we did not do this on our last trip. We ran out of time before we left for the trip, had good intentions to stop at a grocery store within the first few days, and then the power went out anyway. At that point it didn’t make sense and we just grabbed food for each day ahead as we went. We probably spent more because of this, but had we brought food along it would have gone bad in the fridge with the power outage, so 🤷🏽♀️.
When heading out to @aldiusa or whatever your jam is, I suggest you look at foods you don’t typically purchase (as pictured). Make the trip a little special by bringing along some new snacks/meals. It will make you more excited to break open the bags and indulge or try your hand at that new meal for dinner. It will also be MUCH cheaper than buying your snacks at that random gas station on some backroad in upstate New York. 🤪
Treat Yo’Self at least a bit with meals/snacks/drinks while your away, but don’t overdo it. Plan ahead. Bring some food along. 🌯🚙☀️
