HAPPY SUMMER SOLSTICE 🤘🏼 one of my favourite days of the year & this year I got to spend it hiking through the Canadian Rockies, couldn’t be much better 💞 hope everyone had a rad first day of the summer!
you see this side of me but you don’t see the other side.
you see this side of me but you don’t see the side that winces everytime my veins have to be poked by needles.
you see this side of me but you don’t see the side that moans in my sleep because i’m in pain.
you see this side of me but you don’t see the side that cries when the doctors tell me it’s not going to be easy having this illness.
you see this side of me but you don’t see the side that falls apart.
you see this side of me but you don’t see the side that is tired.
you see this side of me and you see the side that fights.

An old favorite of @lazybonemoon the first time he took me to Old Robe Trail. Not many places you can get a sunset like this and such an incredible view of the Stillaguamish river with such low foot effort.
It’s the first day of Summer, but it’s felt like Summer for months already here in Arkansas. Thankfully the natural state has more than 9,700 miles of rivers and streams, and over 600,000 acres of lakes to stay cool in!
For the last month I’ve been relatively quiet on Instagram. Much like my fallout from Facebook two years ago, I started to become distant due to the political and egocentric atmosphere that often associates with social media.
While this app can be used as a beacon for inspiration, it can also work in the reverse order by pressurizing individuals.
It happened to me for a little while and taking a step back and being away from the screens has allowed me to fully immerse in the true foundational aspects of life and has taken my levels of both fitness and sports trainings to whole new levels. It’s also allowed me to often look away from the lens and embrace each moment for what it’s worth.
This past weekend with an awesome group of individuals was another one of those reassuring moments. And having the love of my life on her way across the pond right now is setting the stage for so many others.
So, I’m as stoked as this Glacial Freeze Gatorade had me to be a little more transparent about my day-to-day and above all, just post photos that I like with hopes you do too. 🤘🏽
@chanchitabus todavía persiguiendo volcanes pero desde un ángulo diferente. También es una buena alternativa para detectar focas, pingüinos, delfines y otros animales salvajes. The excitement is real. I can’t wait for this time next week and being in Canada!
Even though I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest, all my Canadian experiences have been out East. I’m looking forward to seeing Vancouver for the first time.
Any suggestions? You know I’m always down for unfamiliar foods, good breweries, great hikes and outdoor activities, and such. I’m also also a big fan of meeting new people- so if you’ve got some friends in Vancouver you think I should share one of those local microbrews with, let me know!
I was lucky to be born in this country and be able to enjoy spots like this with only simple 1st 🌎 worries... but some people aren’t so lucky... and it just sucks that so many people don’t realize how lucky they are and are just fine turning their backs on those who are just trying to get out of their unlucky situation... #supportimmigrants#keepfamiliestogether#wherearethekids#ireallydocare
Roads are everywhere. On any given day, they could take you into the heart of a city or to the depths of a forest.
They connect us to each other, and with nature.
Looking over the wide expanse of the Florida Everglades drives home the importance of preserving what we have, and getting there in the most sustainable way possible.
Biofuels are a drop-in ready solution.
So after three weeks on the road and then 5 days in LA, I dropped Jacob off at the airport. This trip was incredible. We drove 5,254 miles around the country, stopping at 10 national and state parks along the way. We camped for nearly 3 weeks. It feels nice to recover but I know soon that I’ll want to adventure out and explore again! Until then, enjoy the photos I’ll be posting! I have a lot to edit. Thanks for being such a great friend and travel partner Jacob!
