For those of you who love to do projects around the home on the weekends (like me), I wanted to share some thoughts that I've been sharing with a few of my clients who are looking at purchasing rental properties.
Two rooms that are always crucial when they are evaluating potential purchases are the kitchen and the bathroom. ☑☑☑ When we look at different options, I always suggest that we not only look at what the rooms look like CURRENTLY, but we also evaluate the potential of these rooms. We look at how we can improve/upgrade without spending TOP $$$$. Before we even start looking at homes, I suggest they go on Pinterest and find the "look" they want for a room. Then they start looking for different upgrades that they can pick up at a great price, like faucets, lights, or toilets (a NEW toilet goes a long way 😆). We also talk about vinyl and tile "stickers" that can instantly bring a modern, contemporary look to a space without breaking the bank!🐷🐷🐷 I'm always suggesting to my clients with rental properties to be on the lookout for a steal of a deal when it comes to remodeling possibilities, BUT don't just grab something because the price is great !!! First, find the picture of the LOOK you're going for and carry it with you....many times they have many different pictures they carry with them and when they find something that will work, they grab it!
Start planning the look of your room now, so you don't have to be in a hurry to upgrade the look and are forced to spend top dollar to do so.
