My first snowfall of the year. #Tbt to last week's trip to the East Coast. Thanks to you #Ottawa , you were a treat even in -8°C 😉. I'm from the West Coast, so we're still a little spoiled in the double digits temperature.
Have you ever checked Ottawa before? My next photo series will be about this beautiful city. Also, I will be updating my story highlight, so stay tune.

Mealybugs are nasty insects that feed on new growth, plant sap & excrete honeydew and wax, which all reduce plant vigor. The insects get their name from their flaky wax coating, which resembles ground meal.
Female mealybugs can reproduce without mating, typically laying a cottony white mass of 200 eggs over 10 to 20 days. The nymphs that hatch are pink, yellow. They don't develop a wax coating until they've fed. These young bugs are called crawlers because they're more mobile than the adults, which move very little. Destroying the eggs/crawlers is just as important as controlling the adult mealybugs.
Mealy bugs usually hang out in a white web-like substance in the nooks & crannies of your succulent. Their favorite place to hide is right where the leaves meet up with the stem.
If they aren’t treated quickly, mealybugs will spread all over a succulent & to nearby plants. As they move, they eat away at the succulent. Often, this will stunt the growth of the plant & cause the new growth to look mis-shaped or smaller than usual. They may also leave some dents in the leaves if they are left for too long.
It’s difficult to say exactly what causes them to show up, but overwatering is a common cause, & over fertilizing. They tend to show up on indoor plants the most as the temperatures are more temperate, but they can show up on succulents outdoors too! * TO KILL MEALY BUGS you can buy an insecticidal soap at Rona or make the DIY spray: 2 tsp dawn soap, 1/4 cup 70% isopropyl alcohol, 1 cup water and a spray bottle. simply spray the mix directly on the mealybugs, where ever they are on the succulent.... When spraying be sure to check those hard to see places near the stem. Spray them really well with the mix. Adult mealybugs are covered in a waxy coating, which makes them difficult to control. Soap breaks down the bugs' waxy protection and the insects dehydrate. You’ll notice the web-like substance will almost disappear as soon as you spray them & a little brownish/black bug, the size of a crumb will be left.
If you catch the mealybugs early just one round of alcohol spray will be enough to kill them. If you didn’t quite get them all though, they will come back.
Thats a wrap on our shuffle session. These girls learnt so much in a small amount of time and seeing them grow as dancers has been amazing to witness. What a prime example of hard work and dedication! Thank you @whatsgoodbtong for being the best teacher!! 💕 til next time.. keep stomping babes!

FYI: You don’t HAVE time, you MAKE time.
How often do you hear people say “I don’t have time”…boo, you have the same amount of hours in a day as everyone else! How you use that time is the difference.
And the last time you truly wanted something, you definitely made time for it.
As we end 2018 we’ve been reflecting on alllll the things we did but also all things we didn’t make time for. And although you can’t do it all, you can prioritize.
Often times what’s stopping us from achieving our goals is A) TIME but also B) lack of CLARITY. When you actually make time and sit down to do those things on your list and then BAM, you get stumped on something and are immediately paralyzed by the idea of continuing.
Well - WE GET IT. We’ve been there and decided to do something about it. We created a marketing community to help business owners (just like ourselves) progress with like-minded people. Share ideas. Struggles. Wins. Losses. Talk about all things business, marketing, branding & Instagram.
For those who have signed up for our newsletter - link in bio - you have until tonight at midnight to join us on November 27 from 5-8 @ a discounted price. Tomorrow we will be launching tickets to the general public. For those of you who just subscribed, check your inbox ☺️.
