(1/2) “I remember when I first arrived in Mexico City, I felt like I had a lot of power because I’m white and I had a lot of money than when I’m here. At first, I started to be a little bit cocky because I could buy anything. At one point I remember I was like – no, this is not me. I have to go back to the real me. As a result of that realization, I started feeling a bit anxious and judged. Now, I’m gonna go back to Mexico but I’m not gonna go to fancy houses and all that. I’m just gonna be a bit more humble. I think I behaved the way I did because, here I just feel like I’m just a random guy. Over there, you get observed a lot and get attentions that you don’t have here. At first, I kind of liked it but after a while it was just fake. I’m gay. So, people who tried to connect with me was just because of my appearance and it was not a real connection. When I came back here it was just like a relief. I didn’t have to worry about my image anymore. But now that I’m going back, I’m gonna challenge myself to stay humble.”
