Starting some pieces with a new colour palette! Everyone knows blue is my favourite colour, it’s my first go-to in all my work. Working in a completely different palette than I normally do has presented some new challenges that I’m having fun conquering💪🏻Fall is in the air, and on my paintbrushes 🖌🎨
Duncan has begun fabrication on a panel of St. Clement, destined for St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, near Mooney's Bay, in Ottawa. To give you some sense of scale, that is a six foot by six foot plywood frame, and the stained glass pattern is five feet across. Talented local glass artist Anne Bouillon did all of the painting and fusing on St. Clement for us. This is the eighth icon panel we are working on for this church, with three more to do.
This is a crazy story.

A French style corner sample with a more modern finish than normal. These frames are normally gilded but this has been painted a deep red with a light blue rub through and dusting to add age. What do you think?? #ottawa#ottawaart#ottawaartist
This shimmery beauty sold on the weekend, yippee!! She had a waterfall of blues, a shimmer of silver leaf and was all about finding the silver lining in life’s moments. After my full art show weekend, I’m enjoying a slow lazy day. Big accomplishment, I got out of my pjs before noon (just 😋) and proud of it!!!

I hope you all have a lovely Monday! Today will be a hard day for me as am I having to say goodbye to my family dog, Canelle. She has lived a long life of nearly 13 years and it is now her time. I’ll always love her and cherish the years we had together. ❤️
