THANK YOU, Merc fam, for making this past weekend absolutely legendary. 💓
On Friday night, we kicked off #LengendaryMusicSeries with @joshwink1, who blew us all away with his sound and on Saturday we danced the night away with @gypsykumbia. 💃🏻
Both nights we had a full house with the best dance floor energy all night long.
Let’s keep it going... 🔥🔥🔥
Holiday collection 🎄❤️ Burgundy plaid rompers and matching headbands are perfect for this holiday season! I’ll have a limited amount at @freewheelingcraft Holiyay Craft Market on Saturday, November 24 at Makerspace North.
Met @justinpjtrudeau and all I can say is that he’s really generous and kind man! Honestly, knowing that he’s hated by a lot of ppl makes me sad because he’s trying to do something good. I’m aware of all his actions and I think some of them were uncertain and incomprehensible. But yet, I support him and I hope he’ll bring peace to Canada 🇨🇦 And I always have potato face when I’m happy 🥔
As a single mum I’ve struggled with that for some time but I’ve realizes how important it is to implement self care into my daily/weekly life! No matter what it is, I will always find time for only ‘me’. ❤️

Sensors require input 👣
The bottom of your feet are densely packed with sensory nerve fibres and nerve endings that can pick up a wide variety of information from the surface you are on. Vibration, pressure, skin stretch, temperature is sensed by your feet and sent to your brain in order to give you the required information needed to maintain balance, stability, safety etc.
➡️ Like any sensor, it requires input from the environment. Information must be actually sensed in order for a sensor to be useful. Even the ability to detect how hard you are interacting with the ground as you walk or run is determined by how well your feet can sense it.
↪️ This means that what you put over your feet matters. The shoes you decide to wear affect the ability of your plantar nerve endings to pick up information from the ground.
👣 Barefoot is always best, when possible. This was your foot is uninterrupted as a sensor, and it can work to the best of its abilities.
👟When it comes to shoes, a thin sole is best. The thinner the sole, the more sensory input you can still get from the ground. Better feel means more information and feedback as to how you are interacting with the surface beneath you.
👞 Try to avoid shoes with thick, cushioned soles (especially for your everyday shoes that you walk around in). The thicker the sole, the less information your feet can pick up from the ground. This affects your stability and balance, but also how hard you interact with the ground every step you take.
On November 3rd, the Villas Community Association sponsored a CPR Course at their community center. The course was given by a member of the City of Ottawa Paramedic Service. Six members of the Riverside South Community Association took part in the course, and it was time well spent!
Could Mini Sheet Masks be the future? 👉🏻 Swipe to find out what I really think 🤔
While these gem stone mini masks were super cute to look at, I didn’t feel any major benefit from them and they were awkward to place in the contours of my face. They kept falling off and the whole thing was a bit of a joke. I’m pretty sure this was more of a marketing tactic than a consideration for a viable product. If you love sheet masks like I do, I recommend skipping these ones (unless you want some funny pictures 😜)
"Big Cat" is a stray that we took in. Another lady had been feeding him for a while but her older 2 cats weren't accepting of him. He was covered in fleas and ticks and had a worm infestation. He's been nursed back to health and finally started feeling well. However he went outside last night and has not yet been back. I am so worried and mad at myself for letting him out! Cross fingers for me please 🙏
