What this breakfast photo doesn't show: a forgotten tea bag that steeped ten minutes, the drama of a booboo and neosporin and bandaid and ice pack, lost tempers, requests for banana in oatmeal, requests for egg instead of oatmeal, requests for ice pack at the table, a load of laundry switched to the dryer, two potty breaks, and a battle about what clothes were getting worn today. Also, in between those, texting with my brother and momma two states away and uploading a new listing to the Etsy shop.
And now a breakfast of cold eggs, fresh oregano, leftover cole slaw, and tomato chutney.
And so I say the morning refrain again, restart the day that feels so heavily underway: - May my soul rise up to meet you. - As the day rises to meet the sun.
The oregano, and the not pictured cilantro and thyme came back pretty well from being frozen in Maine then left outside and partially forgotten about for the rest of the winter. Also I just came to find out we have oregano growing wild in the backyard by Amelia's swingset. #oreganofordays
My students garden with a bunch of elderly ladies every Tuesday for an hour. We picked a TONNN of oregano yesterday. Thank goodness I have a bunch of this tasty olive oil. Oh and Costco had it on sale still today for $3.97. #autism#4h#oreganofordays#frozenoregano
