Wood Change 🌳- It’s a very important step when replacing your roof. The entire roof deck should be inspected to make sure there is no rotten wood on the roof and if there is it’s quite simple, Replace It! You don’t need to replace the entire roof or even the whole sheet of wood just because you see some rotting plywood. We recommend just cutting back a couple inches further then the rotten wood then filling it in with a similar product that is there. What could happen if I don’t replace the rotten wood on my roof? Well the areas that were not replaced are not going to have the strength to hold a nail properly and will likely result in a blowoff in the future. #reginaroofing#regina#roofing#yqr#roofingregina#optimumroofing#optimumroofinginc#replacebadwood#roofrepair#laddersafety @daltonparisian @jkeepness @acoosej Nice work guys!
Beautiful view off this cabin roof out by Fort Qu’Appelle. The real beauty though is in the detail of this roofing installation! Most roofers just install their underlayment with staples, which actually voids the warranty🤭. We make sure to install it with cap staples or cap nails, the bright green circles in the photo, these fasteners will ensure you do receive your full warranty and your underlayment will never blowoff! 👍 #roofingfortquappelle#optimumroofinginc#reginaroofingcompany#ftsyntheticunderlayment
Frost in your attic causing leaks in your house??? ❄️❄️❄️❄️💦💦💦 It’s more then likely 1 of 3 issues!! Problem 1 - Low Insulation Levels - Having low insulation levels allows heat to transfer freely into your attic space which can lead to frost on the underside of your roof decking!.........................................Solution 1 - Get an insulation top up to minimum R40 (Today’s building code levels!) Problem 2 - Heat Loss
It is very common for bathroom fans, plumbing stacks, old chimneys, pot lights or even attic hatches to allow additional heat to travel into your attic space if they aren’t properly sealed......... Solution 2 - Make sure that a quality vapour barrier is around the penetration into the attic space and the right amount of insulation is around them! (Pro tip - spray foam will act as a vapour barrier and insulator.) Problem 3 - Lack of Ventilation - If you don’t have enough roof vents then moist air will be trapped in your attic space and turn into frost......................................... Solution 3 - Install more roof vents! You should have 1 roof vent for every 300 square feet of attic space! Professional Tip! - Install a solar powered roof vent that has a built in fan. This will drive out that unneeded moist air very quickly! 👍 Still not sure what your looking for.....? Give us a call and we will look for you! 👀 #optimumroofinginc#reginaroofing#engineeronstaff
