Earlier this week @tinagelnere and I were the No. 1 thing to do in Chichester! How mad is that?! Had a lovely time being back in Chichester, and it was wonderful to perform with Tina again, and for Funtington, who have given me so much support during my studies 💕
Delius - A Village Romeo and Juliet
Tomorrow is the big day! This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've been lucky enough to sing, and to experience and learn it under the guidance of Sir Mark Elder is a privilege I do not take lightly. I am truly grateful for this and cannot wait to share it with a live audience, as well as a live-streaming audience.

Click "Luister," check or X those boxes, and then click the green button to begin the stream.
Looking forward to a weekend of music! Saturday I’ll be joining Monmouth Choral Society in their carols concert with excerpts from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio 🎄🎵
Then on Sunday #sundaysequins will be out in full force as @theathenatrio head to @henos4c to record a special performance with @steffanlloydowen to be aired on New Years Eve! 🎉💫

I was interviewed by Golden Key yesterday about who I am, what I do, and what receiving an Arts, Culture, Media & Society Investec Rhodes Top100 meant for me.
It afforded me the opportunity to reflect on how interconnected my academic career was with my budding professional performance career. And about the exciting, partly-unknown that is next year!
When it's out, I'll let you know👌🏻🇿🇦🎼🎶 #morningmusings#gloriasteinem#operasingersofinstagram#proudlysouthafricansoprano
It’s #throwbackthursday . Looking back on my concert with the incredible @andreabocelliofficial earlier this month. I am honored and thrilled to join him on the road again for a set of performances that will begin on February 13th in Orlando, Florida. Looking forward to seeing you all there!!!

LIFE UPDATE TIME!
Big news from this semester!
1. As of now, I have so far been invited to TWO schools to audition in front of their live panel to pursue a Masters in Music; the Manhattan School of Music, and Florida State. I will be flying out to both this spring. Still waiting on University of Maryland, Mannes Conservatory, and Carnegie Mellon’s results!! 😬😬
2. I managed to earn a spot as a Finalist/top 3 vocalist in the Iowa State Solo Orchestra competition, and will be singing in the Final Round concert on January 15th!
3. In two weeks I will be heading to Cedar Rapids to be in the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre Company’s production of “The Threepenny Opera~!!” 💗 So excited for the honor of working with a professional company that I adore so so much.
I’m staring down my final semester of undergrad and I have so many mixed emotions! To think that I’ll be giving my senior recital and GRADUATING in like 6 months is absolutely insane, thanks to everyone who hauled my ass through the tough times, and celebrated with me through the good. Let’s stay up on that rise....!! #operasingersofinstagram#grind#gradschool#auditionseason#highhighhopes#stayuponthatrise
So much looking forward to bringing my #SongofAmerica program to my hometown Spokane on March 1, 2019! @foxspokane •

Tickets on sale tomorrow! Spokane’s own Grammy Award-winning baritone, @thomashampson, and acclaimed pianist Lara Downes @laradownes88 explore over 250 years of American history through songs on an engaging journey through American culture. Through the eyes of poets and the ears of composers, the core American values such as freedom and brotherhood will come to life featuring works by composers such as Foster, Bernstein, Ives, and poets such as Lincoln, Dickinson, Whitman and Hughes. This Spokane “coming home” staged performance will feature an ensemble of musicians from the Spokane Symphony. #spokanesymphony#thomashampson#baritone#local#hometownboy#hometown#america#americanmusic#americancomposers#bernstein#charlesives#beyondliberty @rvavrek
This career is not easy. There’s just as much rejection, if not more, for every audition that pans out. There’s a lot of bucking up to do and tough skin that we’re told to have, but really we just need to have compassion and love for what we do. Is it difficult? Yes. But, when we choose to serve the music instead of some drummed up/idealized sense of success, we come back to what made us love this art. We are lucky that we get to share our gift, tell a story, and hopefully make someone’s life a bit brighter with it. I tend to lose sight of this when I am in the midst of auditions and feeling a little less than. However, every so often I need to remind myself of why I chose this, and that was simply just to serve the music and sing with as much passion as I can. We may not be perfect, we may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but we’ll be damned if we don’t continue to share our passion through song. ❤️ #operasingersofinstagram#opera#operasinger#classicalmusic#classicalmusicians#nyc#auditionseason#passion#art#singing
#throwbackthursday to my house debut at the @lyricopera and “Il Trovatore” production that finished just a couple of days ago.
A very important part of my Conte di Lina character was created by a truly talented makeup artist, David Grant. This flattering portrait was made by him. Thank you, @davidiangrant!!
Turned in my last paper for this semester, meaning I’m 3/4 done with my master’s degree 😬
Another life update, my summer plans have changed a bit! I will now be going to the Aspen Opera Center to sing Countess Charlotte Magnus in A Little Night Music! 🎵
Super-selfie with the great mezzosoprano Debora Beronesi!! 🎼🎶🎵
I had the great pleasure to share the stage with her in our last concert we did for Amnesty International last week in Rome
It's really inspiring for me to sing with artists that had a career like hers!! 😀
