RACE REPORT 🏊♀️ @challengealmere
I was really nervous yesterday before the start so to have my husband @crille.nae there calming me down was a relief! I knew that it was going to be a struggle in the water and that all the other girls were faster swimmers than me so I tried to focus on doing my best.
I managed to maintain the group for 500 m but then I lost them and I was alone. 🤷♀️ The navigation was easy BUT it was long distances between bouys so it was hard to navigate the fastest way and my watch measured longer than 3.8 (approx 4 k) - bad navigation!? The water had a good temperature, 19 degrees, but a bit rough on some parts with waves and wind. .
After one lap (out of 2) I started getting problems with cramps in my right calf. 😖 It came and went 4 or 5 times and really affected my swim trying to get it away! So it was a relief to reach the T1 and survived the swim! 😅
Probably one of the last open water swimming this year.
Big 🌊 and rough swimming 🏊.
I loved it! 🙌 😁 Thanks @thenambord for the invitation!
