My hands have been quivering too much to draw lately😣. actually bumming me out a bit but oh well, here's an oldie
This was where Tramps moved up from 14th Street in 1989. It was about ten times larger, turning them into a pretty legit live Rock venue, definitely a rival for Irving Plaza in physical size and musical pedigree. Around 2000 it became Centro-Fly, named for a 1960s department store in Milan. A lot of people thought they were trying to capitalize on the closing of Sound Factory/ Twilo, but the owners always knew this more residential neighborhood would never tolerate the noise. Their sound system was still great, if not as thunderous. After Guiliani’s witch hunt, they played it strictly by the rules. They made nice above the table with the NYPD and FDNY, and took food from their kitchen and bottled water down to the rescue efforts at Ground Zero. The Op Art interior was also devastatingly cool and was used in a few music videos. Then it became a restaurant called Duvet, where diners laid around on mattresses on the floor with 5000 thread count sheets, goose down pillows, and soothed by a backlit jellyfish tank. They retained Centro-Fly’s sound system. #nightclub #rockvenue #tramps #centrofly #fatboyslim #toddterry #armandvanhelden #dj #musicvideo #interior #design #interiordesign #interiorarchitecture #clubdesign #soundsystem #nypd #fdny #groundzero #opart #duvet #lounge #bedmiami #jellyfish #sheets #bed #goosedownpillow #nightlife #nycnightlife #nightlifehistory #glitteringapple

Figured out how to animate these objects spinning around each other without intersecting! The effect is similar to some of the 4D transformations seen in tryptamine visuals.
