I start my day 45 minutes earlier than I used to so that I have "me time" in the morning. But it is so much more than that I have more energy and mental clarity throughout the day! I love how I am feeling and want you to feel this good too!

I have been doing workouts from the country heat program while I wait for LIIFT4 to start on Monday and I absolutely LOVE it. It's a great workout dancing to country (like) music. You don't even know that the 30 minutes has gone by it is so fun (and yes you feel it afterwards and sweat like crazy)! You also get to improve your dancing skills, who doesn't love that 😁😁 😁

Happy Flex Friday!! 🔥💪🏼🔥 How SLOW can you GO?
I’ve gone to lectures about eccentric training and applied this approach to both my clients’ training as well as my own. But, it was when I was in physical therapy (for the upteenth time 🙄) that it really resonated with me 🤔
Slow movement through both the concentric and eccentric contractions (the “positive” and “negative” as called by some) allows you to discover where in your range of motion you may have “pockets of weakness.” You may actually be passively moving through a part of the movement without those muscle fibers firing without realizing it. My clients know full well what it means when I tell them they’re “chucking” or “free falling” 😆. Hell, I got by with a lot of that for a HELL of a long time before that slow training gave me a wake up call!
My point? Slow it down once in a while. You’ll be amazed at what you’ll discover 💥💥💥

And, so it goes… last week, all it took was a day of careful stepping and decelerating in leather-bottomed boots through a museum of terrazzo floors to aggravate the tendinosis in my ankle so much, I felt like I sprained it. This came as a TOTAL surprise, as I started to FINALLY get my run on and my speed back, pain free. Keeping my fingers crossed that the fraying in my tendon isn’t any worse. Every time I have a setback, I think, Is this it? Should I just quit while I’m ahead as a fitness professional? Nope. Not ready yet. Today I was a guest at an absolutely BEAUTIFUL gym. A mecca, in my eyes. It had more toys than I could possibly play with in one workout session. But, I was sensing this very strange vibe around me. I found myself being distracted by a hum of rattling nerves as I worked my way around the gym floor… I’m an unfamiliar face… are they looking at me? Is she giving me the once-over? Why isn’t he giving me any space? Feeling anxious, I continued with my head down, avoiding eye contact with anyone. Then I realized… I am HERE to focus on ME. To earn MY better. With no room for distraction. Just like I do in my own gym. So, if you ARE giving the New Girl the once-over? Maybe you should make it twice and take note.
