So yes I actually did hurt my leg. It was hurting at today while I was skating so I'm taking tomorrow off. I'm icing it right now so hopefully it gets better. I think it's just shin splints and I've had it before. It's not a big deal really it should heal. It's probably from over doing my jumps. I hope it heals quick because I'm competing soon and it really hurts:(
I learn by sharing both the beauties and the beasts. Any chance I can get to do this is another opportunity to grow.✌🏼Tune in- link in bio above! 💙
This week on the @betterhumanproject_ podcast, we've got an insightful conversation with 2008 Olympic medalist @caroburckle 🏊♂️🏅
Caroline dives into the commitment and mindset necessary to perform and prevail at the highest levels.
She also talks candidly about the perils of that singular focus - the lesser discussed downside to win-at-all-costs mindsets and tying our identity to our times, scores, and/or numbers.
We also look at @riseathletes a program Caroline co-founded with fellow Olympian Rebecca Soni for Olympic athletes to serve as mentors to young athletes to help them successfully navigate these very issues.
If you're interested in success in sport, mental health, or life, this interview has some powerful lessons for us all.
