So today I started playing around with Olympic lifts and it honestly got me SO excited 🤪 (like kid in a candy shop🍭) which may seem weird to some people but lifting is truly my passion and I have no shame🤷🏼♀️ but if I’m also being truthful, I was kinda scared to start. Why? Last time I did Olympic lifts (about a year and a half ago) I wasn’t very good at them. I was scared of not being good or strong, of failing, etc. Then I stopped myself and realized how ridiculous that was. Everyone has to start somewhere and I shouldn’t expect to immediately be strong and rise to the top. This is a new journey I’m starting on (or more like adding on) and I am excited to put in the work and see where it gets me. Hopefully an all around strong, powerful athlete because that’s the goal😈
With that said, the three videos of me working on both hang cleans (what we did in volleyball) and full power cleans (first time trying these). I truly want to get better and learn and I know a lot of y’all are more knowledgeable in this area. So, if you have any tips, pointers, form correction, etc. please let me know (in a respectful, constructive way please🙃). I already think I’m using too much of my arms rather than power from my hips and squatting too late but let me know!!
🐘If someone asked you what your crowning achievement is in your life, what would your answer be? For Coach Mike Burgener (@mikeburgener), the answer is simple: his kids! When you get through listening to our conversation with the man who has seen it all, and done it all in his life, it will make so much sense.
This week we get into what this hard headed football player from Notre Dame learned as an Officer of Marines that has translated into the abundance mentality with which he leads today. The founder of Mike's Gym has dedicated his life to giving. As a result, he has made huge waves in the weightlifting community, and been instrumental in the development of coaches and athletes alike. Because of Coach B's influence on weightlifting, and subsequent acquaintence with the likes of Greg Glassman as CrossFit (@crossfit) was in its infancy, USA weightlifting's participant registration has increased almost ten-fold. Given all of those accolades, still his crowning achievement revolves around his family.
You'll discover, as we did, that the metric of Mike's success is gauged by the fulfillment of his family. Nothing worth achieving, is worth achieving in the absence of family. Although he does not feel that anything happens due to luck, there is a greater plan at work. In focusing on building an institution in which he could bond with his children, be home and still serve his passion, the net he has cast over the landscape of fitness almost immeasurable. The coaches that live and die by the "Burgener Warm Up", the athletes that have engaged in the CrossFit Weightlifting Seminar, and the athletes that have crossed over to competitive weightlifting after hanging out at Mike's Gym for a day numbers in the thousands. By serving his family, Coach B has impacted the world and truly set the standard for what it means to live a purpose driven life.
Sit back and set an intention to absorb a wonderful perspective on fulfillment, paying it forward, and relentlessly upholding the standard. Thanks for sitting down with Coach B, and sharing your light with our listeners!

Long ass warm up then
6x100 feeling really strong in leg again lungs not yet 😂
If you struggle with feelings of failure if you don’t reach your goals, sometimes it’s better to just commit to show up rather than commit to achieve x y z.
We know that consistent exercise improves mental and physical health so maybe that’s a good place to start. Just show up!
Highly recommend indoors today though. 😂 hail sprints are not fun
Jerks with a 2 second pause in the bottom. Worked up to 80% with no issues!👌🏼
Officially 4 weeks out from my national competition in Vegas! Shits getting real 👀 & I’m getting really excited! 💃🏻
Strength Training is Essential for Female Athletes! 🏋️♀️🤾♀️⛹️♀️
Strength Training is vital for improvements in BOTH male and female athletics. Yet, weight training still lacks in most female sports. Do not fall victim to this misconception, ladies!
Becoming stronger will enhance overall performance in just about any sport you compete in; plus, there are numerous general health benefits! (Faigenbaum, 2008)
✅Burn more calories at rest
✅Decreased body fat percentage
✅Improved bone density
✅Proven stress relief
✅*Injury Prevention* - This is especially important for female athletes who are more susceptible to knee injuries due to their tendency to have wider hips!

“Accurate and cost effective”
After reading the independent study Reliability of the gFlight Compared to Force Plates by Alec Genter, B.S. and Drake Berberet, B.S. we just have to share the accuracy findings.
There are choices for measuring jump height, gct, rsi, but some have inflated numbers, are not consistent, and basically add in repeated variability to the measurements which means they are inconsistent. How is a 4-7 in discrepancy allowed when testing?
The goal, the mission of exsurgo.tech and the gFlight is to bring cost effective, accurate tools to every high school gym, college weight room, training studio around the world.
Be a part of the growing community and help spread the word.

Lots of info coming at you!
First, Alec Genter, B. S. and Drake Berberet, B. S. did a study of the #gFlight compared to a force-plate. Not only were we found to be accurate, but reliable, affordable and consistent.
“it was found that the gFlight was not only accurately reported by the manufacturer; but, the error (mean difference) was found to be well below the +/- 1-inch reported value.”
Second, the manuals are in for both gsprint and gflight which can be found on the shop page.
All info can be found on the product shop pages. Thanks to @strength.2speed
