For me fly fishing and painting are similar practices in many ways. In today’s episode, I wanted to take you fly fishing with me and talk about technique, similarities with painting and how surface (may it be the surface of water for the fly fisherman and or the surface of the canvas for the painter) is one of the common denominators in both activities. The fishing rod and the paint brush are simply tools, you need to forget them completely in order to enter at the heart of the practice. 🎣 🎨 👉 Have you already practiced fly fishing?
Since the weather is so nice today, I’m taking you to the Parc de Sceaux near Paris, to show you one of my passions : fly fishing! 🎣 I’ve been painting and fishing since I’m young and both practices have nourished each other ever since. Check out the entire episode tomorrow on YouTube 🎥
Super excited to share this new episode where I talk about the new art serie I’m working on - aka “Crazy Project” 🤩 Check it out on YouTube (link in bio!) Painting is not dead!! For non-French speakers, each episode is subtitled in English.
Two years ago @yannickalleno sent me a text with a picture of a white ceiling at his 3-star restaurant on Champs Elysées - Pavillon Ledoyen - and appointed me to paint it. It took 3 weeks to paint and is 35 square meters (380 square feet). 👉 want to see how it looks like? Check it out on today’s new YouTube episode 🎥 ... or book dinner at the restaurant and don’t forget to look at the ceiling 👀
