Getting in a little #penturning time this morning. These two pens are my first attempt at a label casting using Liquid Diamonds epoxy in the pressure pot. The Cigar band pen is for my dad, the bands are from cigars we’re enjoyed during outlets time together over the last year. The Cuban cigar pen is made from a Cuban certificate of authenticity from a box of Cohiba cigars given to me as a gift by a great friend. I love how these turned out, but the Montecristo and Pedron labels soaked up the epoxy making them rather translucent. Next time I’ll use thicker bands.
This Bangin’ Banjo’s “Coffee & Cream” Strong Ale pairs impeccably wit’ this Oliva “Serie V” lancero for the creamy, malty, coffee notes meld so well wit’ the cedary pepperiness (on the retrohale) of my stick, indeed. Coffee ‘n Cigar simply go together, stellarly, ‘cuz #iPapiSaidSo , confidently.
