Pinterest is the go-to plug when it comes to decor inspo. Do you agree? If you don’t, I’m judging you 😄.... now back to this paper. .
Even though my mind has been on Christmas decor for weeks as I’ve been preparing for all of the shops, we are still in the fall mode over here! But not for long! I’m definitely getting the itch to switch it up! Anyone else? Or do you prefer to wait till after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas? .
I have another adorable pillow to share with you from @designdistrictdecor! Look at those cute tassels and stripes! I know this pillow is going to stick around this winter and probably into spring too😉 Just a reminder, all of my friends can use the code ERIN15 for 15% off your next @designdistrictdecor purchase! .
Pop quiz: who can name the tv series the quote on my letter board came from? Anyone?! We just finished watching it on Netflix. I know, we are a little late to the game. But we loved it!
So there are a few things I take with me everywhere and it's no secret that my diaries and my colour charts are my must haves. I write everything down and when I’m out I’ll often have a call from a client asking a question about an item they are thinking of purchasing. I never, ever make a decision based on luck. I always cross check with the colour we have specified and I give them an honest, factual answer straight away. Never guess if a colour will work. You’ll always be disappointed, also always ask your client to photograph the item in real day light! #interiordesignerslife#interiordesigner#idbizlifestyle
When you live in a small space, making the most out of every little square foot is absolutely crucial. When we were using this closet solely for storage, I always thought it was such a waste. It wasn’t organized and at the end of the day, stuff was just being thrown in there to collect dust. Now, one side is storage for our Christmas decor and things I just couldn’t part with and the other side is a Sincerely, Sweetpea headquarters 😉
Today I’ll be tucked away here sipping tea and diffusing essential oils and getting all your orders ready to ship out for Wednesday 😁 Mondays are a day I do not take clients but that doesn’t mean I’m not working #cantstopwontstop
Hopefully you are enjoying this rainy day 🌧 Here’s an easy tea recipe I like to make on wet cool days... I felt a tickle in my throat this morning so here’s a great option when you might feel a bit lousy 🌱
Start with your fave organic loose tea I find oway aroma extremely beneficial , organic green tea or organic chamomile work great too. While water is warming . I mince pealed ginger root and pealed turmeric root into my mug and a tsp of honey , pour hot water over ingredients stir then add the tea and sip slowly.
The ginger helps relieve a sore throat and helps kill the cold virus
The turmeric is a strong antioxidant and anti inflammatory
The honey suppresses coughing and is fights bacteria ...
And it is always beneficial to add some fresh lemon a little extra vitamin C always helps :) #happymonday#tea#tearemedy#organic#feelbetter#staywarm#staydry
I am the first to admit that as a business owner I lack on the paper work side of things. I get all caught up in my passion for being behind the chair, and love of spending time with all my ladies. As I have reflected on the past amazing year of Karly Horton Hair & Co I decided some changes needed to happen! My goal for the next year is client care! Massive thank you to my amazing husband @roarshack88 who listened to my concerns, and helped decide what needed to be done. He Built me this amazing space, so the nitty gitty that I don't love so much can be much more enjoyable. I promise to all my beautiful ladies there is big things to come and I will do my best brain storming in this beautiful space. #KHHairAndCoHeadquarters#NOMOREFATMIRROR#HubbyIsHandy#OfficeNook#RusticModern#HeStillHasTouchUps#HeHatesTouchUps#LuckyLady#oshawahairstylist#karlyhortonhair#karlyhortonhairco
So this post is to congratulate my amazing graduates who are off living their dream of becoming an interior designer. I am so proud of you all, thank you for letting me be on this journey with you and for trusting me with your success! The feedback I got today was so heartwarming! It fills me with joy knowing that you are confident with what steps to take to run a profitable interior design business and seeing you succeed in your dream of becoming an interior designer has been one of the best things I have ever been a part of.
For those of you who are now living your dream life, I wanted to create one more little thing for you… Something that you can use everyday to remind yourself of how much things have changed and how you are now doing something you truly love each day! I created a hashtag for you to use #idbizlifestyle and hopefully you’ll feel proud and associate with! It is close to my heart and I am sure it will be for you too ❤️💋 So claim it as your own and enjoy writing it as your #newnormal xxx
I wish you all knew how grateful I am for you. Thank you! #interiordesignbusinessmentor
So tomorrow two really fantastic things are happening! My interior design mentees are graduating and the next round kicks off! If you have been thinking about it for a while, what is really holding you back? Is it fear? Confidence? Doubt? Worry? Sorry to burst your bubble but these never really go away, so why not start sooner rather than later? Even the most successful people in business still have worries, doubts and fears, they just don’t let these things hold them back. If you want to be working with your first interior design clients early next year, tomorrow is the last day to sign up before we kick off the program. We still have a few places available. If you have questions just message me #interiors#homeofficedecor#fun
I’m so in love with my new office nook 🧡
Can’t wait until it’s all set to go and I’ll show off the full space. Small but clever (if I say so myself).
Thanks to klasbilt Millicent for the beautiful cabinetry work 👌🏼

I was procrastinating this morning so I rearranged and cleaned my office. Please tell me I’m not the only one who does this?! 🤦🏼♀️ but this afternoon I did get down to work and nailed down a huge chunk of content for the Live graced Conference coming up on November 10th in Sheboygan! You can still grab a seat at LIVEgraced.com
These baskets that used to store all of our movies turned out to be the perfect solution for the shelf above my desk in my recently finished office nook. Isn’t it great when something you already have works perfectly in another area of your home??
Im in my #littlespace#officenook ... been here sitting since 8am... my soul longs to go somewhere quiet, cold, near nature, perhaps on a cliff overlooking the ocean... but i cant be there because im here...
This storage closet right off of our living room used to be the home of many things, including two side chairs, a side table, all the home decor things, and who knows what else 😂 Half of it is now my little office nook that I’m completely in love with and guess what? It’s on the blog today!! Go check it out!
It’s not much but it’s a freaking office!! My little nook office is finally put together!! Now I finally have the space to craft, advocate, fill out the never ending paperwork that comes with having three children, and everything in between!!!! Still have a few things I want to tweak/add but for the most part this thing is done!! 🙌🏻👏🏻 #officenook#creativespace#mynewfavoriteplace#yay
This is the side of our family room that I’m super proud of (I built that entire office nook and transformed an old wardrobe into a farmhouse style linen cupboard). BUT. I never show the other side of the room because for years it’s just been an odd assortment of furniture and toys that isn’t particularly aesthetically pleasing.
These school holidays I’m determined to change all of that! I’ve already thinned out the toys and given away our ginormous toy cupboard. I’m freeing up space and bringing in plants and it FEELS FABULOUS. (Some before and after photos to come, I promise!). .
