I'd been really looking forward to this weekend's mc38 event and it didn't disappoint, we were given a solid sailing lesson by the fleet from bow to stern and reminded we have a long way to go! Somehow coming last in this fleet doesn't hurt as much as it does in any other class because you feel like even though you just got absolutely schooled ,you will come out of the experience better for it . This regatta came at the end of 7weeks of dieting and a big change in my training Regimen where I lost 4.5 kilos and somehow kept the muscle on I'd been trying to gain and i was really happy with my level of fitness I felt. The training resumed today with the next goal being the Sydney to Hobart on boxing day and I'm feeling painfree and ready to keep rolling. #mc38 @mc38aus #bowman#sailstagram#yachtracing#fitnessmotivation#fit#weightloss#oceanracing#onedesign#runnersofinstagram#sailing#yachting
Nous vous tenons informés de la situation.

It all came down to the final gybe in the final 10 miles to decide the winner of the @route_du_rhum. An intense few hours in very little wind after a race all the way from France. MACIF had led all the way across the Atlantic but Idec took the race to the final moments.
But Francis Joyon proved he still has it at age 62 on the older heavier boat by just 7 minutes! 🥇Bravo Francis Joyon on Idec sport for winning the Route De Rhum!!! 🥇 🥈Bravo Francois Gabart on MACIF finishing 2nd with a broken foil and rudder! 🥈
Getting some sail change practice in before the big race! One more #bluewaterpointscoreseries race, then it's the #rolexsydneyhobart . We started the cabbage tree Island race on friday night, and made it back on Sunday morning! I think at some point during the race we had the wind coming from every direction! #bowgirl
There maybe no wind... but at least there is an insanely beautiful sun rise! 😍 We spent the night watching shooting stars, and phosphorescent plankton lighting up the water, followed by the beautiful rising of the sun. #ilovetheocean
This was on our way back from cabbage tree Island, racing (very slowly!) back to Sydney until we hit the westerly.
Time for the wet weather gear! The part of the race where we actually had wind! Racing up to cabbage tree Island and back in the blue water point score series on #waxlyrical an #x50 yacht. Only one more blue water race before #rolexsydneyhobart !

Bit of a jostle with Wild Oats XI at the start of the Cabbage Tree race on Fri night. We led on IRC for 3/4 of the race but glassed out in Sydney Harbour this morning for 4hrs. Still, nice to cross the line in daylight after 34hrs of ocean racing 💙⛵️ #instasailing#cabbagetree#sydneyharbour#oceanracing
We got news from @jpbalmes_routedurhum4x as he passes close to Madeira during the #routedurhum2018 :
"this first week was tough, I got regularly 35-45 kts with gusts to 55 kts and huge waves, but the boat is reliable and safe, it's made for oceans ! I'm now in a transition zone for the trades winds, between 6 and 7 knots, I got a shower and it's all fine !
