Just breaking the surface!
Killer whales are highly intelligent predators with complex social interactions. Each population has it’s own “culture”, closely tied to it’s food source, hunting style and communication.
Have a great week everyone!
Making friends with the locals down in the Gili Islands ❤️ this beauty came swimming up to me and then everyone else followed. I tried my best to keep my distance but he just kept swimming straight at me (probably because everyone else was freaking out trying to get close, and I was calmly and gently finning myself out his path) until he’d finally had enough of the rowdy crowd and dived down into the peaceful blue. I followed as deep as I could, but my freediving skills only let me down to about 10m before I feel like I’m going to die 😂Pretty sure this is an adult male Green sea turtle. Note the long, wide tail (female have tiny short tails). Greens look similar to Hawksbill turtles, but Hawksbill have a very prominent beak where as this guy has a flatter face. I think turtles are my favourite creatures to see on dives ❤️ #turtle#seaturtle#turtles#greenturtle#giliislands#turtlepoint#scubadiverslife#scubadiving#scuba#freediving#turtlegram#turtlelove#ocean#oceanlife#sealife#oneocean#oceanlove#instagood
