How many turtles can you see in this photo? #Seaturtles crawl to the ocean as soon as they hatch from their eggs on the beach, beginning a life-long migration that can take them all around the planet. With so much water to travel, it is possible for a turtle to go many years without seeing another of its own species. What could be so interesting about this one coral boulder to attract so many turtles? #oceanvision | 📸: Shane Myers Photography via @oceana
Yesterday was world kindness day and this week is anti bullying week. Supporting the importance of being kind to yourself and more importantly those around us. If we do not learn to be loving and kind to ourselves how can we be to others.
On life's journey just like when we surf there will be moments when we get knocked off our boards sometimes by unkindness or unfortunate circumstances: the ocean is out of our control, the wave was too big, we have to swim further out to find our board, we get tired, we have to start again, we feel alone in the ocean. But when we make the decision to get back up, to heal the wounds, to pull ourselves back onto the board (a little battered and bruised) with all our strength and courage to ride that wave back to shore, we find other surfers who will also journey back in with us. No matter how many times you get knocked off your board get back on and the beauty is those wonderful souls who are there shouting 'up up' as the wave comes in for you to catch. When people get knocked down we don't leave them we support them back up. No one is perfect but we can all be kind and help others up, seeing the light in all we meet even when the ocean is a little relentless. Namaste 💕🦋🏄🏻♀️🙏

Growing together... is what makes life an adventure, wonderful and divine. We are on a sacred path, protected and cared for. It’s good to recognize the magic and enjoy the path as much as possible. Life is so much bigger than just us.
Throwback to surfing in Devon earlier in the year. Whenever people told me in the past that the ocean is a great teacher I would roll my eyes and mutter something disparaging about hippies. Now I am a hippy. And yes I even roll my eyes at myself sometimes. The ocean IS a great teacher. I am an only child. I have spent my entire life wrapped in cotton wool by a mum who is scared of everything so I've always been way more cautious about things than I need to be and I'm learning to say 'fuck it' to risks and try anyway. I've always loved the sea but in the past if I looked at waves as tall as me crashing onto the beach I would assume you had a death wish going out in that. Surfing teaches you to read the ocean. If you know what the threats are, understand how it works and know how to safely get yourself out of a situation that can hurt you it eliminates the fear of jumping in and trying. Surfing teaches you to not fight against currents but work with them. Same can be said of life. Surfing teaches you that if a huge wave is coming at you, cowering in front of it will do fuck all to help you - the wave will sweep you off your feet, bowl you over and have you back to where you started in an instant; but if you duck drive or time it right and paddle over it you can get out further. Not all waves are the same, and you can't judge them on how they look. When you're chest deep in strong water some waves that look big and dramatic will break over you like foamy clouds, others that might look smaller will hit you in the guts and push you under and the secret is to be ok with it and not panic. It will pass. Know that when you are tired you are weaker and resting when you're tired is not giving up is an important lesson more of us should pay attention to. Being out that day in a crosscurrent with 5ft waves and an onshore wind is not exactly what you want for surfing- it makes for seriously choppy water and a strong current - but I learned more about dealing with life from that one day in the ocean than I have in 32 years of being on land.
Can’t wait to bring this happiness back to my life! ☀️⚓️🚤 The ocean 🌊 is a place to leave all your feelings behind...To some it’s just water. To me, it’s where I regain my sanity 🧘🏼♀️🗝💙

Sound On 💙 Sharing some insights on the element of water and why it’s so sacred. Over the past couple of years it has been serious medicine for me- daily swims, surfing and powerful ocean meditation and ritual. From helping to heal deep trauma to helping me consciously create a new life- water- something most of us in the western world take for granted set me on a new path- and helped me create the true life I was meant to live. I hope this helps the collective remember and to anyone out there needing to reconnect to the flow- I’m sending love. Forever grateful 💙 #natureismedicine#tribewire#remember#reconnect#flow#oceanhealing#waterislife#elementaljourney
Sunset surf🏄♀️ feeling REJUVENATED. Wow. Ocean you heal me every time. “Surfin the shit” as my mom would say 😂 the waves weren’t big but it felt so great to flop around in the water with the harbor seals and my love❤️
Day 14: One step at a time. 🌱
I am not perfect. I have days where I'm okay and others where I wake up and it feels like my world is crashing down. That voice coming in like a tidal waves hitting me over and over with things that just exhaust me. Instead of letting them in, I'm practicing treating myself with compassion on days like this, so I'm working to start saying "I'm learning" and "I'm allowed to go slow." And allow the salty air totake some of those voices as well as exercise my smile.
One fucking step at a time, and swear to goddess I will not give up. I choose my healing. I hope then I can love the way I want to, unconditionaly and fully. As well as truly open up these arms and embrace an unknown future with acceptance and love.

The voice of the sea speaks to the soul. Taking a moment to acknowledge the great expanse and vastness of the sea. What a way to start the day being blasted with fresh, salty air.

I sit here tonight on the beach with the remnants of our fire ceremony. Today, was our first full day of the Kauai Healing Retreat. Tonight, we ended the day with a sacred fire ceremony next to the ocean, underneath the stars. We burned intentions, received blessings, sang in sacred song, connected hearts and supported one another as one consciousness of Love. I am honored to be leading these ten brave souls along with @shelbykushma as we guide them deep into their being, to reconnect and remember. We have created a special container here on the sacred island of Kauai for the healing and transformation of us all. Each person has come with something different to heal and to contribute. In leading retreats over the past few years, I have learned that no group comes together by coincidence. I am honored to create and hold this space. It is my passion. As I sit here, alone with the fire, ocean, moon and stars, I sing blessings and prayers for the pain and suffering of the world. If you are in pain and suffering, I invite you to let this Love and healing in. In this moment, it is for you. Let this energy fill any part of you and your life that is in need. We all deserve to receive Love, unconditionally, no matter who you are or what you have done. You are worthy of Love. You are not reading this by mistake or coincidence. If you have found yourself here in this moment, some part of you is in need. May you receive this Love. #unconditionallove#love#sacred#fire#water#oceanhealing#soundhealing#song#blessing#ceremony#burning#intentions#mamaearth#pachamama#stars#estrellas#kauai#hawaii#sacredisland#retreat#kauaihealingretreat#healing#transformation#suffering#spiritual#belove#belovehealings
Dramatic coastlines, salty ocean air, majestic Redwoods, seashells and sea glass, deep teal waters; the last three days brought me exactly what I needed. I’m so glad we were able to escape to the coast. The ocean truly revived me. 🌊 #oceanhealing#coastalescape

Planet Earth has five great oceans and 113 seas. They represent 72 percent of the surface of the globe, and together they've been an endless source of inspiration for humankind.
The oceans and seas have been changing lives since the dawn of time. Saline water is part of who we are, even when it claims souls and dreams.
We have always experienced an intense relationship with the oceans.
Pouring feelings into the seas is an ancient practice. We've done it through philosophical thoughts, inspiring speeches, self-analysis, confessional quotes and universal sayings.
To put it simply, we are in love with the ocean since we saw it for the first time.
Love our oceans clean.
Stoked to be involved with this event THIS SUNDAY in Cocoa Beach! @beachsidemedia will be taking combat-wounded veterans out for a special surf session that morning. The vets will be aided by @jetsonsurftechnology’s jet-propelled E-boards and volunteers from the local surf community. The ocean has a healing property like no other, so what a perfect way to give back to those who have sacrificed for our nation by taking them out to surf. THEN it’s time for the #AFTERPARTY 3-9pm with @zanderwaves, @dub321music, and @kulchashok! It’s going to be so much fun and we will be there showing support and dancing our faces off!! 🇺🇸 ❤️💛💚
