It's crucial to eat in a healthy manner during your pregnancy since what we eat directly influences the baby’s development. Not only neurologically, but also how their organs, metabolism, moods/temperament, and immune systems function.
Not exposing them to high inflammatory foods and providing nutrient dense whole foods undoubtedly nourishes their brains and bodies.
The first 3 years are clinically known to be extremely important for a baby’s development, so healthy nutrition MUST be a part of this process in order to support mental / physical growth.
Sugar is a huge problem in our society and it’s in so many processed foods!
Baby food is no exception and giving infants/toddlers too much sugar will ultimately deplete their mineral/vitamin absorption, prevent a healthy microbiome, lower brain development causing mood/tantrum disorders, skin disorders/rashes, lower immune system leading to more colds/flu, ear infections, etc.
Also, providing yourself with healthy whole foods (veggies/fruits, nuts/seeds, proteins, healthy fats) while breastfeeding will allow baby’s digestive system to development with fewer complications like colic, reflux, constipation, etc.
Feeding babies solids that aren’t sugar laden later on will be easy as well since their palate won’t be as picky.
Their gut microbiome is still developing the first few months of life, so make sure to expose them to a variety of healthy whole foods so they develop a palate that isn’t picky.
If we feed our gut microbes sugary, artificial, processed foods, it’ll produce more gut microbes that only want those types of foods! We as parents have one job: to raise healthy, happy children.
I believe wholeheartedly that what WE put on THEIR plates will determine their outcome.

1️⃣ Position the elbows directly underneath the shoulders.
2️⃣ Bring the pelvis up so it’s in-line with your head; try not to let the head hang downward like #NotoriousRBG is doing, nor let your pelvis rise up towards the ceiling.
3️⃣ Hold for as long as you can maintain good position; for some that might be 5 seconds, others maybe 5 minutes!

SIDE || POSTURE || ADAPTATION
Side posture adjustments can be some on the most profound and system shifting adjustments. As a chiropractic student, they can also be the toughest to learn. It took me a year and a half to BEGIN to get a feel for the complexities of this adjustment.
Seen here with @travisstewart15 you’ll notice I’m not using my right hand as a contact, instead, it is tractioning the femur downward, along with the pelvis, slightly opening up the left sacro-iliac joint. From here I use my sternum to drop on a left posterior sacrum. This adjustment took years of training to develop the proper balance, body control and power necessary to clear an SI or lumbar subluxation.
ATLAS || FLICK
The Atlas bone, also known as C1, sits at the top of the spine and plays a paramount role in modulating #humanpotential
Millions of nerve fibers pass through this bone as they ascend and descend the spinal cord. This adjustment is given when there is a slight posterior rotation to Atlas. This posterior rotation is determined via motion/static palpating, x-ray or even a quick visual field assessment. When provided from a place of deep understanding and connection...this adjustment can literally “turn the lights” back on. ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Many years from now when I look back on my years in Oakland I know I’ll feel a deep sense of gratitude and nostalgia. This city has taught a country Wyoming boy quite a lot about life.
