Name: Cameron Carpenter
Years on team: 3
Bio: Cameron is entering his third year with the Spartans. This however is his first season as a starter. In his first two years, Cameron followed in his brothers footsteps and played wide receiver. He also played defensive back. In his two years, he worked to improve his game and knowledge of football. He worked on becoming a better all around football player. His work ethic and desire payed off and this year he will be our starting defensive end. He is also transitioning to tight end this year on offense. He will be working with and learning from our senior and starting tight end, Dylan McIntire. Cameron has come along way since the day he first joined the Spartans and we are excited to see what he can do for our Spartans. Could this be Camerons breakout year?! Come watch #87 and find out! #OAHS#Spartans#Football#Roadtothering 💍
Had a blast teaching at the Free Arts of Movement Convention in Munich this weekend!
Here I'm demonstrating how a tuck planche relates to a press to handstand from an L sit. You need to strongly protract your shoulderblades to be able to lift the hips from the L sit and you will pass through a position that is very similar to a tuck planche.
From this position you can either lean further forwards and straighten the body to work on planche, or you can lift the hips while compressing the midsection to press to handstand. The main muscular difference is that further lean will mainly increase the load on your shoulders and biceps, while pressing to handstand will transfer the main pressure into the upper back.
Thanks to @freetheframe for the video and @motionimpulse for organizing the entire thing!
Name: Winston Harris
Years on team: 3
Bio: Winston is entering his 3rd year with the Spartans. Due to injuries the last two years, this will be Winstons first year where he is heathy and full go to start the season. This year Winston will be our starting guard on offense and starting nose tackle on defense. Winston is a major asset to our team. Look for him to open holes and help our run game. On defense look for him to plug up holes and make a ton of tackles for the Spartans. Winston is one of the 4 Spartan captains this year. Winston has always been a leader on and off the field. He is the player that pushes people to work harder and be better. Winston is a great all around player and even better teammate. Look for Winston to have a breakout year! #OAHS#Spartans#Football#Roadtothering 💍

Player Name: Donavan Miller
Years on team: 2
Bio: Donavan is entering his 2nd year with the Spartans. Last year He came on the scene as a wide receiver playing our Z position on our offense. He made some great plays for us and helped our offense score on multiple occasions. We also discovered his ability to make a tackle which lead to him finding himself a home on defense and special teams. We also discovered his speed which made him a asset to our team as a kick returner. This year he is back and ready to contribute to our Spartan team. This year Donavan will be playing Tailback, Strong Safety, Free Safety, and Kick Returner. We as coaches are confident that Donavan is going to excel in his new roles. We are excited to see what he can do this year with the Spartans. Look for him to be one of the top performers this year! #OAHS#Spartans#8manfootball#roadtothering 💍
