Had these cute desserts from @miann_fortstreet, while sitting in front of the sky tower. Super fresh and light, but nice and chocolaty and flavourful. I got the Tropical flavour (passionfruit, mango and banana) and the Pear flavour (pear and white chocolate) SOOO GOOD. ABSOLUTELY RECOMEND THE HYPE. It was so busy so I just took it away, but it completely understandable. So good. I'm not usually a sweet tooth, but I literally ate two and didn't feel too sickly or full. I CAN'T RAVE ABOUT IT ENOUGH. Perfect dessert place after dinner.
Made these on Wednesday afternoon, bought some beetroot powder from @chantal_organics and really wanted to try it out. Decided on loosely following a bliss balls recipe, using @nutbrothers Peanut butter, @roarfoodnz cocoa & coconut. Threw in a scoop of @balancesportsnutrition protein powder for fun, end result ➡️ not the nicest thing I’ve made, buuuuut definitely not the worst 😂. 6/10 would not make again, they look good though, right?😅 #food#foodie#nzeats#rawtreats#peanutbutter#veganeats#blissballs
the fam surprised me to an early birthday lunch at eight restaurant today!! 🎉🎈second birthday I’ve spent here and once again I’ve managed to accumulate the grit, strength, motivation and tenacity to eat until I can’t feel any of my extremities!!! 💪🏼😵 desserts were a bit underwhelming this time but that was kinda good cause meant I could have 12 rounds of naan bread and the sushi hehe 🍞🍣❤️
LOCAL EATS: Beautiful lunch today at @magnolia_electric after a morning at the @lyttelton_farmersmarket ☀️🌱 We picked up a fresh perigord truffle from @amuritruffiere - stay tuned for some truffle goodness 🙃 For lunch we shared the pea, coconut and toasted cumin soup with polenta croutons (life changing stuff!! 🤤) as well as Luke's magic mushrooms on sourdough, these were pretty kick-ass indeed! 👌
Wellington day #3 : I love starting my day (esp during holidays) with a big and slow breakfast!!! Considering that most of my breakfast during school weeks are always rushed with school drop off, there’s nothing more enjoyable than chilling out in the morning with food that hits the spot. We had the most amazing breakfast @lorettaoncuba on 181 Cuba Street. Such a unique menu well thought through and dishes done so well!! My favourite is the warm rice with broken chicken sausages and thyme, hubby @chefpaulfroggatt ordered the green egg poached with bacon and the kids had crumpets and seeded bread with half boiled egg! On a cold windy morning today the warm rice was immensely comforting and moerish! Highly recommend this awesome restaurant and thank you @culinaryjourneys for the recommendation!!!!! Kudos to the chef @mwdelicious and front of house team!! We will definitely be back again!!!.

New 🍩 to the menu! Plus its Friday, the perfect excuse to treat yourself!⚡️😏 These babies were cut in half and layered (twice 🤤) with melted dark Belgian choc & either butterscotch/choc mousse then glazed with salted caramel/dark Belgian choc, honeycomb/Lindt supreme choc chunk 🤩🍫🍯 16 for sale right now, message before they’re gone!
#Buy - A Southern Swede! A road trip south yesterday with PJ for work meant I had an opportunity to pick up one of these beauties. Apparently Southland grows the best swedes in New Zealand due to the hard frosts that sweeten the flavour. And at just $2 each (or 3 for $5 but I resisted the bulk purchase - due to my lack of experience and the expected eye roll from PJ 😂) from a roadside stall. I have no idea what to do with it yet, and my first google search said I should have chosen the smallest one (ideally size of a cricket ball - of course I went for the enormous one the size of a soccer ball) but will hopefully find a delicious recipe for it....!
after a full on week of existing on earth, thought I’d take myself out for a lil bit of a lunch date to celebrate not self combusting hehe 🏅😍 @pokebar_nz has been all over my feed since it opened and I’ve never had a poke bowl before so I obvs had to try it duh. I got the prawn poke and was expecting to still be hungry after cause this kind of stuff never fills me up but they fill this thing to the BRIM so was so satisfied 😌 like this is only the regular and she full as f 🙏🏼 make sure u get the seaweed salad with it cause it’s so yum and also such a good call to get corn chips instead of rice, makes it way less heavy and gives a nice crunchy element 🥡⚡️
Nothing beats a warm and oh so delicious bowl of porridge on a freezing winter morning. ❄️ Made with @bluefrogbreakfast vanilla bean and chia seed probiotic porridge and almond milk, topped with creamy @picspeanutbutter, bananas, @cleanpaleoco original crunch and some @ceresorganics caramelised cacao nibs 👌 Is there any better combination than peanut butter, bananas and chocolate?! 🤔 Happy Friday everyone! 🙌
Wellington day#2 : breakfast! My favourite meal of the day. We chose breakfast at Prefab on Jessie Street. I ordered the peppered kippers on danish rye with a harissa hollandaise love that kick with the spice at the end, and the hubby ordered the grilled gallium with dukkah avocado and bacon (of cos!) and kids had the waffles! They ate it so quickly that the photos opportunity was missed 🤣 awesome spot but go early especially on weekends if you don’t want to wait too long in line but man they were full even on a weekday morning!!.

Drinking Vietnamese Coffee is a special experience, watching the coffee drip through the specialised "phin" filter and into condensed milk in the bottom of a glass is a truly magical experience. Vietnamese iced coffee, also known as "cà phê đá" is a traditional Vietnamese coffee recipe.
Vietnam is the second largest producer in the world after Brazil. At restaurant 88, you can enjoy authentic Vietnamese coffee. We import the Trung Nguyen coffee which is one of the biggest coffee manufacturers in Vietnam. In addition, we also use coffee to make the signature dessert "Trung Nguyen Tiramisu".
Not an oat insight - not even protein pancakes - just three fluffy refined stacks with clotted cream and berry compote. This is when breakfast is more dessert and you probably wouldn’t have it everyday. Try finishing the entire thing - i dare you. There is something so satisfying by a hotcake stack, however I do prefer their slimmer, crispier cousin - crepes.
Counting down days to the #aucklandfoodshow2018 . We sold out last year so make sure you visit us at Swiss Deli Fine Meats stand (D31) on 26-29 July to grab some specials and also to be the first to taste our brand new products #newproductlaunch
Wellington Day #1 we checked in and headed straight to Cuba Street and let our nose lead us to our dinner. And Rasa Malaysian and South Indian restaurant it was!! It was overflowing with people and we were told they were full but I obviously had an aura of desperation and exhaustion after a 5 hour drive from Taupo and the hostess kindly squeezed us on a tiny table which we gladly took! A beautifully decorated little resto pumping with energy, the fragrance of spices and various aromatics filled the air which is something we don’t often get in Taupo. I sat there and soaked it all in. We ordered satays, gado gado, lamb korma, beef rendang, pratha and plain dorsal. Delicious!!!
