Decided to treat myself to some sushi! I love fancy vegan sushi, but I’m not sure I’m sold on the non traditional flavors. The first roll was BBQ Jackfruit and the second was veggies and pesto. Definitely delicious though. 😍💕🌱

Who doesn’t love ice cream? 🍦I know I do and I’m definitely a sucker for it. It was my first time trying @vanleeuwenicecream planet earth vegan ice cream which is made with raw cashew milk, spirulina and matcha cake chunks 🤤🤤 I usually stick with the vegan mint chip flavor but I’m happy I tried this delicious flavor 💙
Is there anything better than açai?? (Answer: no) ✨ there are only two places in NYC that I trust to make me decent acai bowls so I usually end up making them myself. My favorite add ins are mango, blueberries and bananas, and then when I'm feeling extra fancy I add pineapple and raspberries and blend with apple juice. Top with granola and lots and lots of fruit and wow now I'm missing California 😭😭#meatlessinnewyork
One more @whatthepitta photo, and an announcement that I’m going to be leaving NYC in two weeks to live in London for all of August. I’ll miss NYC so much, but am extremely excited for my month in London - hoping to travel to other European cities sometime in August too!

Exercise addiction. It’s real and can be just as damaging as any other addiction. Whether it’s yoga, lifting weights, cycling, running, walking, etc. - if you are overcome with anxiety at the thought of not being able to work out, it’s an addiction.
Exercise was a way for me to distract myself from my loneliness, to control something during a time when so much was out of my control. I knew i didn’t want to live in New York anymore the first week i moved back for sophomore year, and i honestly did not know how i was going to make it the whole year there. I was sad, alone, and looking for a way to pass the time.
I went to the gym and/or yoga everyday, took the stairs to every class (yeah, even the 9th floor), and went for walks every chance i had. As you can imagine, after a few months i burnt out HARD. I had zero energy, i was underweight, i felt more lost than ever, and i knew something had to change. I went home for a couple days to get away from the city and didn’t exercise in any way for a week. Some people need longer than this to come back from an exercise addiction, but i personally knew after that week of actual RELAXING that i was ready to come back with a whole new mindset.
Exercise is no longer a way for me to distract, punish, or hide my feelings from myself. It’s a way for me to get stronger, mentally and physically, and it’s fun as hell to me now, as it should be. Exercise is so important for our health, but once it starts to control our lives and consume our thoughts, it’s not so healthy anymore. If you think you might be obsessed/addicted, ask yourself today WHY do i exercise? | #cleaneatsbytay
