The Porcupine designed together with #caterinatiazzoldi in 2009 was installed in the Altis Hotel Belém during the Experimenta Design biennial in Lisbon. The chair is made with 40 sheets of felt realized by Pastofo, supported by a fiber glass skeleton realized by Politrofa.
The design is generated with a parametric logic to enable reconfigurations in accordance with the user's inputs and location.
This time last year the probability of me moving to #nyc was near zero. I was looking for jobs heavily on the west coast. I was also leaning hard on getting a job back home to help rejuvenate that town of four thousand people I grew fond of. I was fairly certain I'd end up back at home..by my choosing...but as fate would have it...that job never panned out...neither did the left coast...and so it goes...moving to NYC was what I was fated to do, so be it, no regrets. And I feel many of the people I have met in this City were also destined to be here to do the thing they were brought here to do or become the person they were meant to be.
Something different. I’m glad my face is hidden. I am not defined by:
my physical appearance, my sexuality, my gender, my socioeconomic status, my religion, my popularity, my occupation or follower count...on any sides of the spectrum.
I’m just me.

In 2009 I designed together with #caterinatiazzoldi the Porcupine: An adaptable chair inspired from the fractal growth of a shell. Realized with felt and fiber glass.
In response the warmth and malleability of the felt produces a non-woven cloth that is achieved by matting, condensing and pressing fibers. These fibers are produced by recycled residual waste processed in a sustainable manner into felt.
Interesting observation I got here ☝️
We all know that each stone have its one energy that makes you feel certain way. ☀️
It means when you want to be surrounded by lovely energy, you wear Rose Quartz❤️
The days you need protection for some reason, you put on Onyx Jewelry🖤
Some days you want to feel confident, you get your Pyrite pieces👑
What I noticed is when you realize that you feel super confident or super calm and relaxed, not your usual, but you really feel that something is going on, you start you remembering that feeling🤔
Surprisingly, these feelings stay in our memory and in situations or days you need certain stone energy, but you don’t have it with you, you can recall the feeling and act like you have one by you👸🏼
Once you get those feelings that you would like to have in your life, mostly they are confidence and patience, you will always try to repeat them by yourself even without crystals help🙏
Of course for the days you have something important, it’s better to use stones support 😉
What qualities of your personality are you improving right now? 🍾

The last piece from the “Installations -Gallery” on my banned webpages...I absolutely L💗VE the liturgical season of Advent, and the text is the advent hymn, “Oh Come Divine Messiah”. One of my co-workers, Dominic Deluca served as the model for a number of the heads of the angels. The fourth candle-bearer anticipates Christmas in green a symbol of hope surrounding a red AIDS ribbon.
