I couldn’t wait for the #nuvodrops to dry (tree ornaments) but here’s the finished product. I can’t get enough of that textured background. Makes the card heavy, but it’s still a high quality product ☺️ 🎄 #ochristmastree
Spread Joy! I’m in love with the #concordand9th glitter paper. Used under the #altenew layering leaves die, the paper makes an easy to assemble, yet elaborate and gorgeous card for any festive occasion... or just to put a smile on someone’s face. I decided to build on the spread joy theme and design the card to be used again... up to three more times! Inside, I added a pocket for the message to the recipient and another pocket with three extra tags so the recipient can give the card to someone else and so on... and so on... spreading more and more joy! #sharehandmadekindness#heroarts#cardmaking#handmadecards#diecutting#papercraft#spreadjoy#nuvodrops
Hi and welcome to all my crafty friends and new subscribers!
My name is Lena and I would like you to know that you definitely have a friend in me here, please know that. 🥰👩❤️💋👩☕️☕️❤️🙏
I will be writing a lot more reviews now on the products that I bought and used on creating Handmade cards, will share what to buy, what not to buy.
Cardmaking is my favourite hobby for the last 3 years.
I create cards for my family and friends and also sell them online on Ebay.
When I lived in Great Britain my cards were also selling at our local Post Office and it went very well.
Now I live in Cyprus for the last 2 years and sell my cards just on @ebay_uk . It’s free to list them there and you only pay Ebay comission if the card is sold. That works very well for me.
I don’t work for any craft companies and all the products I purchase with my own money. So my views are simply my personal opinion out of my experience.
I would be very happy if you guys share your own opinions and experience here too, even if they are different from mine! I love to learn something new and I am learning all the time. I believe that we can learn a lot from each other.
So all the information, questions and opinions are more than welcome!
🔖 Nuvo Drops vs. Glossy Accents
I remember as approx. 2 years ago Nuvo Drops came out of the factory in its glamorous shiny bottle and I had this very question: to buy or not to buy?!
I had been using Glossy Accents already by then and was VERY happy with them.
So, the question that many of us might have: which one of these products is better? Which one do I need to buy?
The answer is simple and easy: you need them both. And I will explain why.
NUVO DROPS are very dimensional and excellent touch to use on very small areas like adding dimensional dots or cover tiny Christmas berries to help them stand out. I also use Nuvo Drops when I need to highlight eyes 👀 or noses on dogs, teddies and any other animals. They have to have adorable wet nose that you simply want to 💋.
Nuvo Drops are NOT good at covering larger areas (as a porcelain cup or even a small spoon on a card for example). I had such spoon on a card last week on my Instagram feed, so you can find and see it in my profile. After drying such larger area cracks and doesn’t look great in my opinion (you might want to use this as a feature on your Vintage cards though!)
And here we come to the GLOSSY ACCENTS! They are excellent to cover glazing on donuts, Christmas tree decorations, glossy cups of tea and coffee ☕️, you name it.
🔸TIP: I keep Glossy Accents bottle upside down then it doesn’t get blocked.
Please share in the comments below if this review was useful, if you have the same experience or different or ask any questions you might have and I will write future reviews based on your questions.
P.S.: I don’t work for any craft supplies companies and buy all the products with my own money, so these reviews are genuine and based on my own experience. I’ve been into #cardmaking for approx. 3 years now and like it very much.
