Made some #nutmilk#seedmilk Super yummy and simple.. I had some mixed #nuts that we were not eating so I thought to make milk out of it. I had #almonds#sunflowerseeds#pumpkinseeds . ******
Vanilla essence (optional)
Soaked nuts overnight. Next morning rinse them thoroughly and remove the skin of the almonds.
I used a handheld blender with a cup of water, blended it and put it through a #soupbag (it is available any supermarket in HK & really cheap) then squeezed it. I put the pulp back in the blender with a little more water for the second time to get more out of it. Lastly added honey n salt.
I had mine with some cacao powder. *****
What is your favorite nut-milk? Have you tried the fresh version instead of the box ? It tastes quite different. Give it a try and let me know.
At Best Body Co. one of our favourite nuts is the walnut! Why walnuts? Because they're a great source of anti-inflammatory omega-3 essential fatty acids, containing good amounts of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). They're rich in antioxidants which helps protect the body against disease and contain iron, selenium, calcium, zinc, vitamins B and E.
Walnuts are great mood boosters, reduce the risk of heart disease, reduce insulin resistance to help with type 2 diabetes and are good for brain health.
