Take a moment today to truly be grateful for your body. Then, listen to what it is trying to tell you.
Only you can know what your body feels like. What foods nourish it. What makes your body feel alive.
We get so caught up following trends or what our friends are doing. But what we need to remember is that what is right for one person doesn’t mean it is right for us.
So for today, try slowing down. Pay attention to what you are eating and to what you are drinking. Does it make you feel like your cells are doing cartwheels 🤸♀️ of appreciation or are you sore and tired. 💫
If it’s the latter, maybe start by making small adjustments to your routines & habits so you are serving your body for the greatness that it really is.

10 minute meal prep omelette! 1 dozen eggs cracked in a bowl pull out 10 yolks pour into a pan. liberally cover with greens. Cook and then cut into 3 meals. Pop them in a Tupperware in the fridge for later.Throw on some salsa or a side of avocado toast or just grab it like a frozen waffle as you head out the door in the morning .

This year I’ve been learning the difference between being there for others and having my space be taken advantage of. I’m an empathetic person and I find people fascinating, so there’s a natural response to be of support and open-minded ear to listen.
However some people take advantage of your energy. They only show interest when they need a safe space to vent and feel less alone, but don’t necessarily care for you as a person. I find this to be dangerous, especially when you begin to feel a sense of pressure to be that person and passive aggression when you cannot.
So this is just a friendly reminder that when anything starts to feel draining take it as a sign to step back and reflect. The people you invest yourself emotionally should reciprocate back to you the same sense of respect, interest and time. It’s okay to set boundaries and love from a distance. 🌛

It’s also quite easy to start digging & find many published studies, even in the Journal of The American Medical Association, of holistic health practices that can be implemented immediately, & change the quality of life. This big green salad might look boring, but let me tell you how much flavour it has! Kind of cheese taste😋
1 package of kale
3 handful of spinach
1 big handful alfalfa sprouts
seasoning with herbs and sea salt
A lot of nutritonal yeast (5 tbs msybe)
Start the salad with kale, the avocado and the seasoning. Massage the kale and avocado together with your hands. Then put in the rest of the ingredients and mix well🥑🥗 Nutritional yeast is what gives the salad the cheesy taste! Its a powerhouse of the B-vitamins (also vitamin B-12). Don't forget your greens😉

I find it hard to pick a favourite food these days, but in a previous life, they were very specific, depending on the food category. .
This meal however, has topped my list since childhood, and has remained there through all my lifestyle changes. Sugar beans are probs my favourite legumes because when you cook them long enough, some of them melt into a creamy dream that forms the basis of your curry or bredie. If you're hesitant about trying legumes, I highly recommend this one. Remember to soak them beforehand, and boil in plain water (no salt, but aromatics are good, eg. bay leaves, fresh garlic) until soft. Then add seasoning, salt, onion, etc. .
I'd serve this sugar bean curry with homemade, oil-free, wholemeal rotis (which turned out really well 🙌), avo to neutralise the spiciness, and coriander for a burst of flavour and freshness. YUM! Comfort food 😍😍😍

OK...I'm going to admit it.
I was slightly skeptical about a 4 day a week fitness program.
But here's the other reality. That 6-7 day a week fitness program was seriously stressing me out and I was really only getting 5 days a week in anyways!
And this...it's working!!! I'm NOT stressing because I'm only working out 2 hours a week TOTAL. I get to enjoy the occasional silly food (those cupcakes I made with the kids? ON PLAN!)
This is how maintaining a good healthy lifestyle should be...a PART of your life. Not all of it.

So incredibly proud of myself. Iced Tea is my absolute fav drink, more than any Starbucks. Wow I Know!! .
It has not been easy. Many weekends of staring at the cans in the fridge and giving them the finger. And grabbing a water instead and yea truth making a margarita instead too. .
I know margaritas aren’t any better but it’s the simple idea of saying NO to that iced tea. An idea i could not fathom a year ago. But here i am... day 214!! Small steps = Huge Success!!Hell Yeah!!
