Pumpkin Pecan Protein Pancakes: 
1/2 Cup Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes pancake mix 
1/2 Cup Fresh or Canned Pumpkin 
1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (@musclefeast is my JAM)
1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice 
1/2 Cup Cold Water 
1/4 Cup Pecan Halves 
Blend together all ingredients except pecans. Prepare pancakes in large nonstick skillet (I got four large pancakes out of this batch) Top finished cakes with pecans, and drizzle on maple sera, if desired. .

Today is the day.
I'm changing my diet. Changing my lifestyle. And changing my life? So a bit of a prologue first:

I've always had a problem with food, and by that I mean, I eat too much. Now some of you may be thinking, "Yeah, sure, everybody does!", but not many do like me, as people that know me will tell you. I eat a ridiculous amount on a regular basis, I very rarely feel full and even when I've had 'enough', that was rarely a reason for me to stop eating. Local takeaways most certainly thought I was ordering for a family or household. And that was the other problem... If I could just eat ridiculous amounts of broccoli and be content then I wouldn't be here, but I can't. I am almost powerless when it comes to making good decisions regarding food. I will pick the quick, easy, tasty, unhealthy food, 99 out of 100 times. The way my brain treats bad food, is nothing short of addiction and it's one I can't control. I've had problems with alcohol in the past and I found the way to control that was to give it up altogether; I did so successfully and have been teetotal for 2½ years now. But you can't just give up food. Or can you?

I've discovered Huel, a nutritionally complete shake... Simply meaning that it has everything you need. A great split of 37% carbs, 30% fats, 30% protein and 3% fibre. All of your necessary minerals and vitamins. I can drink everything I need, and give up eating.

So I'm going to document this journey on my Instagram.
Firstly, I will record my weight, body fat and BMI (as accurately as my home scales will) so I can look back, post about my workouts in the gym, what the shakes are like, how I feel etc.
And secondly, it puts my journey on a public platform. When I'm feeling like quitting or caving in to a craving I'll remember that everybody is following my journey and hopefully the shame of publicly failing will stop me!

So for anybody that wants to support me, chastise me, ask questions or silently follow my journey. Welcome!

Training has been poor for 14 weeks after a cortisone injection in my knee, 2 holidays following 2 admissions into hosp for food poisining after both, surgery on my stomach, and shingles 👍😂..

Decided to try them again today, not expecting much from it and 'assumed' I would be a lot weaker but managed to hit 4 x 120kg..

Even though my training has been poor, my nutrition has been consistent. No major weight loss or gain, hitting a good amount of protein, adding carbs and fats to bring my calories up to maintenance..

Soo glad I didn't fall off the bandwagon with the food as this time last year I would've just stopped eating 🤷🏻‍♀🤦🏻‍♀ shows how far my fitness journey has helped my relationship with food too 😊..
