I cooked fish for dinner! With no instructions...and it was delicious! I just pan fried some wild caught snapper fillets in a little #organic butter and garlic, and served it with steamed veggies. It was a hit with the kiddies too - they both had seconds. #fishandveggies#easydinner#foodisfuel
Salmon, broccolini and a little cous cous is on my menu tonight! A light sprinkle of salt, pepper, lemon rind and dried herb mix for flavour on the salmon. Adding spinach & kale salad to pump up the veggies is always welcomed in my bowl. This is my lazy Tuesday night cook while the family gets one of their fav fast home meals, pasta bolognese. .

Anyone that knows me knows I have a strong hatered towards calories and the whole mentality that as long as your restricting calories your on the right track for weight loss. There’s a number of reasons as to why this isn’t true.
Yes initially If you restrict your calories you may loose weight but your body will catch up with you and start burning less calories, also constantly restricting calories is not sustainable, healthy or fun. Hence why restricted calorie diets don’t work. -
Not all calories are the same, 100 calories of avocado vs 100 calories of red snakes, they will have a significantly different effect in your body in terms of insulin activity and satiety. Choosing nutrient poor foods just because it “fits your macros” isn’t the right way to go about weight loss (in my opinion)
Hormonal imbalances, Compromised gut microbiome, inflammation and nutrient deficiencies can all also influence your ability to lose weight and maintain your weight
So next time you talk to someone who tells you losing weight is always as simple as burning more than your eating, I suggest you send them to have a chat with someone who is qualified in the area of nutrition and we can help educate them 😉😉😉👍👍👍

✨Checking in from paradise👋🌴🌈 ✨I had these grand plans to train every second day whilst being away, but that hasn’t happened and I’m OK with it - It’s been really nice to chill with Scott here in the Philippines 👫❤️. The poor guy snapped his ACL during a soccer game a couple of months ago and hasn’t been able to be as active (and maybe I’ve used that as an excuse to be a little more chill 🤔 haha). However, I do think it’s important to take an extended break every now and then because it gives me an opportunity to reflect, refocus my energy and in turn I always feel more motivated. Resting is just as important as working out especially when I’m back in a routine because it’s an equal part of the total process required to build strength, endurance and lean muscle. Do you guys schedule in rest days? I always try to avoid training two consecutive strength sessions. I like to break up my routine with relaxed walks during the week. .
That all being said, I have accomplished a couple of short runs (3.4kms each) whilst being away, which I’m really proud of 🤗 (definitely not a natural runner). My goal is to get that up to 7kms before Saturday 28th because have my second training session with the @nikerunning team in preparation for @city2surf. Super exciting (and nerve wracking 😅)!!! .
Thinking about all that, it’s probably a good idea to get ready for another short run now 😂💪. Will check in with you guys later xx.

I mean, What could be more simple than cracking an egg into a large mushroom cup, whacking it into the oven and using the time to get ready for your day while it cooks •Simply cut off the mushroom stem, place on a tray, crack in an egg and bake at 180C until egg is cooked to your liking
•Sprinkle some flavour into your cups first.. Using pesto, chipotle sauce, chopped herbs, olives, chilli, spice mix, garlic, roasted capsicum, goats cheese, smoked salmon, sundried tomato, goats cheese or feta, or what ever takes your fancy! (Pesto and feta pictured) Season well with pink salt, drizzle with olive oil and serve with a handful of baby spinach of fresh sprouts for extra green goodness 🌿

S L U M P S • I have just the snack for you 🌟my flour free apple, ginger & cinnamon muffins 🌟
Taking 20 minutes to bake, without all the added nasties, no flour or refined sugar in these chaps. Not only will they fill you up due to the protein, but help keep you fuller for longer and create satiety & stop those slumps.
1.5 Cups Rolled Oats
2 Tbsp Coconut Flour
½ Tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
½ Tsp Nutmeg
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
1 Pinch Salt
1/3 Cup Raw Honey (can substitute for maple syrup if vegan)
2 Eggs (can substitute for 2 flax eggs if vegan)
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
½ Cup Naked Ginger, finely chopped
2 Apples Grated
Preheat oven to 190c. In one large bowl add the dry ingredients; rolled oats, coconut flour, bi-carb, nutmeg, cinnamon and pinch of sea salt
Grab another bowl and add the wet ingredients; honey, eggs, vanilla essence and mix well with a fork
Slowly add wet ingredients to dry and key stirring until all combined
Once combined, finally add the apple and ginger muffin mix, stir well together
Spoon into lined muffin tin or silicon muffin tray. Place in oven for 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
Give it a whirl, makes 8 & great for weekly lunch boxes. Rx

Hi everyone! A little about myself, about 6 months ago I found out I was allergic to gluten, wheat, bakers yeast, dairy, and eggs 🤭 I kind of ignored the fact I was allergic to all these things and I kept eating whatever I wanted even though I would feel absolutely terrible! One day I started breaking out in hives on my back and I was so itchy along with stomach pains, bloating, acne, extreme fatigue, body aches... I felt horrible I knew it was time to listen to my body and cut those foods out and as soon as I did I knew I would never go back. It’s been a life style change but not a hard one and there hasn’t been a day that I look back and say wow I wish I could have this or that because I’ve found that there is seriously a substitute for every single food I crave and love and it’s better for me and my body. The food we put in our body is SO important and for so many reasons. I’ve done lots of diets in the past and never knew why I wouldn’t lose weight or would wonder why I felt the way I did even though I was eating “good” I’m sure others have felt this way to. It’s really crazy to think all those years when I would feel so bad after eating bread or cheese or my throat would itch after I ate eggs was normal I just thought something else was going on, I never thought I would have so many food sensitivities. Huge shout out to the job I have now and the environment I’m in everyday in order to be constantly learning about health with a holistic approach, it’s been one of the best things for me. I started this food account because I truly find passion in a different approach towards food and it’s awesome to be healthy but also having fun while doing it.
