100g frozen blueberries 
50g frozen banana 
200ml water 
Ice cubes 
20ml almond butter 
1 scoop @fit_delis chocolate perform 
Workout -
•Bulgarian lunges smith machine 
10 reps into 8 reps into 6 increasing weight each time 
Take back to medium weight and go into 10 single leg lunge with knee lift then repeat on other side. •Squats with squat rack focusing on ROM ( range of movement ) with a pause at bottom 
8 x3 •Hip Trusts 6 x3 as heavy as possible! Into 8 x3 lighter weight for that burn 🔥🍑
•Cable Squats 10 x3 really focusing on transferring all that weight through the heels to target the booty ! 
Burner- •Stepper - Step up Squat jump off into Squat with resistance band 10 x3 •resistance band oyster (lay on your side, keep feet on top of each other and open and close the knees) 12 x3 each side •

Went back to @montyscafescarborough that I first went to at easter time, because it is so good. Coming back home for a brief time and relaxing for the next week or so, and eating tasty food to get myself ready for another semester. I’ve realised that I didn’t know how exhausted I was until I had the time to “do nothing” 😂 
Mum treated me, and I got the poached eggs with sourdough and a side of blanched kale and spinach. She got the bruschetta which gave me meal envy haha. .

Anyone that knows me knows I have a strong hatered towards calories and the whole mentality that as long as your restricting calories your on the right track for weight loss. There’s a number of reasons as to why this isn’t true. 
Yes initially If you restrict your calories you may loose weight but your body will catch up with you and start burning less calories, also constantly restricting calories is not sustainable, healthy or fun. Hence why restricted calorie diets don’t work. -
Not all calories are the same, 100 calories of avocado vs 100 calories of red snakes, they will have a significantly different effect in your body in terms of insulin activity and satiety. Choosing nutrient poor foods just because it “fits your macros” isn’t the right way to go about weight loss (in my opinion)

Hormonal imbalances, Compromised gut microbiome, inflammation and nutrient deficiencies can all also influence your ability to lose weight and maintain your weight

Happy Tuesday guys!! I hope you’re having the most wonderful start :) bit of an early one for me (I got four hours sleep out of excitement and knowing I had to be up at 6am😅) as (you all know) I’m going on my holiday to Tenerife with my friend group ☺️so I am setting off out in a couple of hours to meet them at a pub before we go and then we are getting picked up from there! ✨Checking in from paradise👋🌴🌈 ✨I had these grand plans to train every second day whilst being away, but that hasn’t happened and I’m OK with it - It’s been really nice to chill with Scott here in the Philippines 👫❤️. The poor guy snapped his ACL during a soccer game a couple of months ago and hasn’t been able to be as active (and maybe I’ve used that as an excuse to be a little more chill 🤔 haha). However, I do think it’s important to take an extended break every now and then because it gives me an opportunity to reflect, refocus my energy and in turn I always feel more motivated. Resting is just as important as working out especially when I’m back in a routine because it’s an equal part of the total process required to build strength, endurance and lean muscle. Do you guys schedule in rest days? I always try to avoid training two consecutive strength sessions. I like to break up my routine with relaxed walks during the week. .

That all being said, I have accomplished a couple of short runs (3.4kms each) whilst being away, which I’m really proud of 🤗 (definitely not a natural runner). My goal is to get that up to 7kms before Saturday 28th because have my second training session with the @nikerunning team in preparation for @city2surf. Super exciting (and nerve wracking 😅)!!! .

Summer salads mmmm! Keen for summer to return so I can actually feel like eating hearty salads again! 🥗 A lot of my patients currently tell me that it’s too cold to eat salads at the moment which I totally agree with! But you know what the winter version of salad is? SOUP! Although I wouldn’t quite go adding cucumber to my soups, pretty much every other ingredient for a big hearty salad can go together to make a big hearty soup! ⠀

But you know what the winter version of salad is? SOUP! Larger fish are higher up in the food chain and will have accumulated higher levels of metals and toxins including mercury. This can outweigh the benefits of eating larger fish such as salmon,  for its Omega-3 content. I don’t have enough time for breakfast!!! There is always time for breakfast 🌿

I have a two year old and a 9 week old and breakfast is what sets me up for the day ahead...
I mean, What could be more simple than cracking an egg into a large mushroom cup, whacking it into the oven and using the time to get ready for your day while it cooks •Simply cut off the mushroom stem, place on a tray, crack in an egg and bake at 180C until egg is cooked to your liking
•Sprinkle some flavour into your cups first.. Using pesto, chipotle sauce, chopped herbs, olives, chilli, spice mix, garlic, roasted capsicum, goats cheese, smoked salmon, sundried tomato, goats cheese or feta, or what ever takes your fancy! (Pesto and feta pictured) Season well with pink salt, drizzle with olive oil and serve with a handful of baby spinach of fresh sprouts for extra green goodness 🌿

As a fat adapted person who likes to exercise (I’m so not an athlete 🤣), I train in a fasted state on most days. I do have a coffee with some MCT oil & butter in the morning. I only introduced this after I cut out cream in my coffee, and because I’m not losing weight anymore, otherwise I would probably miss that too. The extra fats before training give me energy to burn! But I make sure I eat a really good nutrient dense meal afterwards - something like this does the trick. Fat for fuel is such a fantastic energy source once you’ve trained your body to get there 💪🏻.

🍫🥞 BIG CHOCO FIT PANCAKE 🥞🍫
Ricetta :
60 g farina (o mix di farine, consiglio avena al cioccolato, riso, cocco 🥥)
150 ml di albume 🍳 
20-30 ml acqua/latte (dipende dal tipo di farina e quanta acqua assorbe)
Gocce di cioccolato fondente🍫 
10 gr di cacao amaro 
Bicarbonato+limone/aceto come agente lievitante
Il composto deve risultare liscio e omogeneo, né troppo liquido né troppo denso.
Far cuocere in padella a fuoco 🔥 basso con coperchio per circa 20 min, poi girare e far cuocere altri 5 min.

Taking 20 minutes to bake, without all the added nasties, no flour or refined sugar in these chaps. Not only will they fill you up due to the protein, but help keep you fuller for longer and create satiety & stop those slumps.

ingredients:
1.5 Cups Rolled Oats
2 Tbsp Coconut Flour
½ Tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
½ Tsp Nutmeg
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
1 Pinch Salt
1/3 Cup Raw Honey (can substitute for maple syrup if vegan)
2 Eggs (can substitute for 2 flax eggs if vegan)
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
½ Cup Naked Ginger, finely chopped
2 Apples Grated

instructions:
Preheat oven to 190c. In one large bowl add the dry ingredients; rolled oats, coconut flour, bi-carb, nutmeg, cinnamon and pinch of sea salt
Grab another bowl and add the wet ingredients; honey, eggs, vanilla essence and mix well with a fork
Slowly add wet ingredients to dry and key stirring until all combined
Once combined, finally add the apple and ginger muffin mix, stir well together
Spoon into lined muffin tin or silicon muffin tray. Place in oven for 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.

Hi everyone! A little about myself, about 6 months ago I found out I was allergic to gluten, wheat, bakers yeast, dairy, and eggs 🤭 I kind of ignored the fact I was allergic to all these things and I kept eating whatever I wanted even though I would feel absolutely terrible! One day I started breaking out in hives on my back and I was so itchy along with stomach pains, bloating, acne, extreme fatigue, body aches... I felt horrible I knew it was time to listen to my body and cut those foods out and as soon as I did I knew I would never go back. It’s been a life style change but not a hard one and there hasn’t been a day that I look back and say wow I wish I could have this or that because I’ve found that there is seriously a substitute for every single food I crave and love and it’s better for me and my body. The food we put in our body is SO important and for so many reasons. I’ve done lots of diets in the past and never knew why I wouldn’t lose weight or would wonder why I felt the way I did even though I was eating “good” I’m sure others have felt this way to. It’s really crazy to think all those years when I would feel so bad after eating bread or cheese or my throat would itch after I ate eggs was normal I just thought something else was going on, I never thought I would have so many food sensitivities. Huge shout out to the job I have now and the environment I’m in everyday in order to be constantly learning about health with a holistic approach, it’s been one of the best things for me. I started this food account because I truly find passion in a different approach towards food and it’s awesome to be healthy but also having fun while doing it.
