Being an aunt is quite possibly my favourite role in life! These two have added so much joy, so much fun, so much adventure and a whole lotta love to my life. I’m so happy to be kickin it in PEI with Norah and Elliot this week. (Stay tuned because I PROMISE, there will be more!)
Our youngest gal starts a summer series of @aaronsacres day camps today 💙💛 This mama is excited and nervous for her. That feeling of handing her off, even to a sweet camp counselor, still gets me in the heart. Good Luck, Nadia!!!! I’m excited for the friends you will make, the skills you will learn and the experiences you will have with other special needs kiddos. Ugh...my heart. #warfelkids#theluckyfew#nothingdownaboutit#aaronsacres
Sam says “Thank you for all of the prayers and love” ❤️❤️
He is doing better. They removed the CPAP yesterday, thankfully and he was so much happier. It was heartbreaking to see him so miserable. He has been stable on the high flow, hoping they start weaning it tomorrow! Tomorrow will also be a big day of discussions with the cardiologists, pulmonologists and the rest of the care team to decide what is next for our little man. I will also be personally talking to the neonatologist that know him the best to help us figure out what is in his best interest! .
He remains in good spirits, lots of cooing and loving not having the CPAP on his face! He even decided he was going to give me an extra “win” by finishing ALL of his bottles today. That is PR for him 😉😉 He has never drank more than 2 full bottles in a day and now he’s is rocking ALL of them. AND in 15 minutes or less 😱 I haven’t even used his feeding tube today 🙌🏻 Amazing how quickly that changed! .
For those asking, I have no idea when we are going home 😐 I wish I could say this was an easy fix, but it’s not 😔 but that is OK. We are where he needs to be and hopefully whatever we decide will make him “better” so we can avoid coming back here for a while!
