As women we are all worthy of connections that are nourishing, kind and authentic 💫💫💫
A huge thank you to Antonia Kidman for welcoming us into her home and for choosing us to be a part of her personal branding photo shoot ~ we absolutely love styling our amazing biz Mamas! xDSL
I am feeling nostalgic AF today guys. My baby turned five today. FIVE. Like when did that happen?! This is one of my favourite pictures of us, we were at a Christmas picnic and I dressed her up in a Santa suit. Must have caught on because this kid has a dress up obsession, it is a daily negotiation to try and get her to choose regular clothes instead of a dress up. I have had to make Fridays a designated ‘dress up day’ to try and appease her 😂 She still has the delicious cheeks and loves cuddles, but now she is also confident, intelligent, strong willed, inquisitive, kind and sassy as hell. I can’t wait to see how the next 5 years shapes her ✨ 📷 cred: @anoinoz
A different kind of thanks from a very happy Mum ❤️ “ I would just like to say thank you. Smiles2U does amazing work with kids and mums in hospital, however this thanks is a little different. Your auction recently has helped our family incredibly. We were the highest bidder for Leap into Literacy - a tutoring program. My daughter was struggling with confidence and getting confused at school. She has used the tutoring and loved it. The difference it has made to her confidence and school work has been amazing. Alison was just lovely to deal with, her customer service and follow up something very rare these days.
So thank you and thanks to Alison and the team at Leap into Literacy. It has been fabulous for our family. A different help but thanks to Smiles2u my little girl has regained some confidence in herself and back in love with learning.
Many thanks 🙏” .
F R I E N D S H I P • When I look at photos like this of Evie and Matilda my eyes nearly always fill with tears. My greatest hope is that they will be those special kind of lifelong friends that you are lucky to have. The kind that knew you before you knew yourself. The kind that know exactly how annoying your younger siblings are because they practically grew up in your house. The kind that will lend you clothes for the school social and do your hair cause you’re bloody hopeless at it. The kind that may be cities or states or countries away, and might not talk for years but when you see each other it’s as if no time has passed. The kind who will always make sure you get home safely. ⠀
As they head off to school there are sure to be phases where they are interested in different things and different friends. And there’ll almost definitely be times when they don’t want to be each other’s friends at all. And even though this will break our hearts I hope we’ve taught them well enough that problems can be resolved and friendships are to be valued.⠀
Are you lucky enough to have a special lifelong friend in your life? Does your child have a little bestie that you hope with all your heart will be in their (and your) lives forever? Tag them both below so they know how special you think they are. 💖
“INTRODUCE FIBRE TO YOUR DAY”
If you think your diet is lacking fibre why don't you try my homemade & delicious Granola. So easy to make & can be stored in an airtight container at arms reach to enjoy throughout your week.
Granola is an extremely popular breakfast and snack food with a wealth of health benefits. Some of these benefits include, its ability to lower cholesterol, regulate digestion, aid in weight loss attempts, improve heart health, increase energy, prevent anemia and even promote proper organ function. Intake of granola also helps to lower blood pressure, improve skin quality, build stronger bones, manage diabetes, stimulate new tissue and hormonal growth, and in some cases prevents cancer.
Fibre plays a very important role in the human digestion process, it makes the food bulkier and further aids in glucose absorption so that sugar enters the blood cells at a slow and even pace, maintaining normal blood sugar levels. Fibre produces vital organic acids that nurture the lining of the colon.
This recipe is virtually carb free & can be added to cereal/oats, yoghurt, ice cream & fruit or simply snacked on & enjoyed at home, in the office or on the run.
