It’s a gift and a curse being able to read people so well. It’s a HUGE part of both my gigs, so I do it without even trying. Why people act and react like they do. What they say and don’t say. Body language, facial expressions, tone of voice, all of it. I would never assume I always get it right though. (That’s just silly to believe) People are kaleidoscopes; multifaceted-rainbows of beautiful expression. The way you see yourself isn’t necessarily how it’s projected onto others. Remember that. However, if you look for the good in yourself and in others; I promise you, your life will become infinitely better. People will say a lot of things, especially now that texting and social media are unfortunately such big factors of most people’s lives >and egos<. Today as he completed his 3rd week of his new 5,3,1 strength program - he told me this is the lightest he’s been in 5 years 💥
.
That he hasn’t been this happy - since he left high school 🔥.
.
When Tyson was lifting with me last year - we tapped out on weights much lighter then his expected ability, because his mobility was quite poor. As is most peoples!
.
He used to hate and resist me getting him to do squatting hip flexor stretches. He actually failed the deadlift and squat mobility qualifying tests 😮
.
After a shift into hypertrophy and mobility work for quite sometime - his squats, dead’s and bench is deeper than ever 😎
.
He can almost lay his hands flat on the floor for a standing hamstring stretch!! ✅
.
He has dropped 12kg since Jan and his mindset has changed so dramatically - I nearly cry with happiness to know his outlook on life is that of surrender and acceptance 🙌🏼
.
His enthusiasm is next to none and he’s absolutely sensational to train 👌🏼
.
Endomorphic body types are the biggest, the most storing and often the most stressed as they externally focus on the love, nurture and protection of others - to see this amazing man embrace his body and his nature and come back so strong is truly inspirational 🙏🏼✨

This is big for me right now. This is everything actually. .
I recently ejected myself out of the service industry and fell right into a 9 to 5ish type job, more in the realm of my field with more like minded folks. Manifested/universe gave me a swift kick in the butt and landed me here.  Beautiful thing about this job is that I can be there as little or as often as I want.  So I am now able to have more quality time with my babies AND take the time I need to focus on getting YOU to your "next level" self. .
I will be taking a max of 2 clients a month to start and already have 1 space full for July. .
I do have shorter,  less intensive consults that will be described in later posts and be available 2 to 3  times a week. .

I did bring 2 hard boiled eggs with some sea salt to Maine and had it about 11:30 as my hubby wanted to eat his first meal at 8 am , not me was notcat all hungry so I enjoyed just relaxing and having coffee with him
What else my favorite grilled salmon over salad greens with 2 glasses of 🍷 there glasses are not huge
I woke up still tested in ketosis. I’m not really aiming to be. I just seem to eat that way but have feast days meaning I eat a bit more on a couple days a week usually Saturdays and sometimes Sunday
I either up my food for the day having another meal or more starch as in wine , or extra protein or more veggies, beets whatever I’m feeling as I don’t count calories.
I just practice intermittent fasting have a short eating window , no snacking and start some days with my first meal of the day around 12 usually a 17-18 hour fast overnight and some days I’ll not eat until dinner 🥘 as I feel best with good energy 
Diet variability works for me .
Longer  time between meals gives insulin time to drop back down .
Constantly eating breakfast, snack, lunch, snack , dinner, snack is way to much food for me and never gives the body time to use your own body fat for energy/fuel. Or give insulin time to drop back down. The key is not about carbs as some eat a lot of carbs and have low insulin and have no issue with there weight or insulin but are not snacking all day or eating a ton of sugar.
You can eat low carb and lose weight or higher carb when not eating all the time or all the sugar. 
What you eat effects your hormones and how you feel.
I love eating salad greens everyday, fibrous veggies, moderate protein and using fat as a lever not to much or to little. Especially if fat loss is the goal.

I don’t remember where I saw this post earlier this year but I loved it! I encourage you to learn what is right for your unique body and what foods make you feel your best. Working with a registered dietitian (the only experts in food and nutrition) can help you find the right balance that fits in with your schedule/lifestyle/medical problems. ⠀⠀ “White potatoes aren’t ‘paleo.’ Whole30 would say there’s sugar in that organic ketchup. Eating for fat/weight loss does not mean you have to deprive yourself. Protein, fat and carbs are essential for energy to get you through the day. Knowing the proportion and how to balance the macros is where a lot of the problem lies. I have been learning how to do just that and the ⚖️ and 📏 are moving in the right direction!

Breakfast had me like 😋! @daveskillerbread with a little grass-fed butter. Eggs and greens topped with @traderjoes Everything but the Bagel seasoning. While there's no one-size-fits-all nutritionwise, especially when it comes to people living with/managing chronic illness, I tend to fare pretty well on a plantbased, high raw, mostly green/low fructose diet. Don’t get caught up comparing yourself to someone else and judging your progress against there’s. ITS MY ONE YEAR TUBAL-VERSARY! (A year since my tubal ligation and coming off synthetic hormones) and I FIT INTO THESE PANTS! 💋
I bought them last year after I had blown up weight wise from hormones and was so depressed they didn’t fit. 1 year off hormones and I’ve got myself back to the size I was before the mess the mirena made. Not only that but since being off synthetic hormones I no longer have anxiety, depression, manic episodes, panic attacks and extreme mood swings or chronic pain. I’m just the happy gal I was born to be. I never really told anyone just how bad it was at the time but there were moments I didn’t want to exist anymore despite the fact I had a great life, friends, family and partner.... I probably came close to losing my job because of it and for some reason Dave stayed through it all. Lucky for me I knew in my heart of hearts that wasn’t who I was and I fought to find myself again. I had some GPs be pretty dismissive and one even tell me she would rather give me multiple abortions than allow me to get Tubal and that the mirena wasn’t causing my issues. Finding a gyno who confirmed what I knew : that it was the mirena and would allow me to have the procedure child free was hands down the best thing that ever happened to me and my life has just been better and better since. I know for some birth control works well and even helps their issues but trust your gut if something isn’t working for you. Fight for your rights and your quality of life. Find a treatment for the cause not the symptoms where possible! Hopefully now with all my energy and health I can continue to help others fight for their rights. The blessing in disguise of this is that it did re ignite my passion for health and fitness and I’ve started some great training programs and really taken charge of fixing my health from the inside out. Also this morning I got to pat Frenchie is our dream fur baby that hopefully one day we can achieve! (A year since my tubal ligation and coming off synthetic hormones) and I FIT INTO THESE PANTS! 💋 I bought them last year after I had blown up weight wise from hormones and was so depressed they didn’t fit. 1 year off hormones and I’ve got myself back to the size I was before the mess the mirena made. Not only that but since being off synthetic hormones I no longer have anxiety, depression, manic episodes, panic attacks and extreme mood swings or chronic pain. I’m just the happy gal I was born to be. I never really told anyone just how bad it was at the time but there were moments I didn’t want to exist anymore despite the fact I had a great life, friends, family and partner.... I probably came close to losing my job because of it and for some reason Dave stayed through it all. Lucky for me I knew in my heart of hearts that wasn’t who I was and I fought to find myself again. I had some GPs be pretty dismissive and one even tell me she would rather give me multiple abortions than allow me to get Tubal and that the mirena wasn’t causing my issues. Finding a gyno who confirmed what I knew : that it was the mirena and would allow me to have the procedure child free was hands down the best thing that ever happened to me and my life has just been better and better since. I know for some birth control works well and even helps their issues but trust your gut if something isn’t working for you. Fight for your rights and your quality of life. Find a treatment for the cause not the symptoms where possible! Hopefully now with all my energy and health I can continue to help others fight for their rights. The blessing in disguise of this is that it did re ignite my passion for health and fitness and I’ve started some great training programs and really taken charge of fixing my health from the inside out. Also this morning I got to pat Frenchie is our dream fur baby that hopefully one day we can achieve! We're probably all fairly familiar with this "change curve" or at least with some of the stated stages or emotions. 
We often throw these words around on a surface level, meaning two aspects are neglected:
1.) How these emotions manifest themselves in us as individuals.
2.) Our personal time frames - What I mean by this is that we don't always experience immediate reactions to events in our lives. Yes, sometimes we have a knee-jerk response, but in other instances, it can take months or years to process an event - Both positive & negative. And this often happens when we're dealing with an illness, injury or grief.

On top of all of that, we can have multiple "processes" going on at once! I thought doing a puzzle of a plate of baked beans was hard enough. This is another level!! 🤯

Moral of the story: it really is a learning process, and requires lots of patience!⏳Science is great, but no onesize fits all, so use it as a foundation and then mix and match to your own organism.🌺Bc you should always always always do what works for you!!💕

Found a variation of it on YouTube and customized it. You can add or remove from the below recipe. What I like about it is that you can change it whenever and however you want it. It keeps me full for the entire morning until lunch time. For now this is how I make it
1/3 rolled oats 
Cinnamon 
Ground flaxseed 
Peanut butter 
Any dried fruits (mine dried raisins)
Chocolat chunks
1cup of milk (soy, almond, cashew whatever...)

I often get asked if a Basic, Elimination, Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD), Body Ecology, Paleo, AIP, GAPS, or KETO, ECT..... is best.

This lovely client had her brows tattooed (elsewhere) about 2 years ago.
During our consultation we decided on a combination of ombré shading to bring the overall colour from the existing orange, to a nice natural tone & adding some hair strokes to soften the stencil like shape.
(The colour will fade during healing, stay tuned for more pics.) These days there are so many different styles, techniques and pigments to choose from to enhance your brows the way it suits you best

Doing a In Home Sleep School this week. 💖 3 days and 1 evening to set this sleep deprived family on track. So much conflicting advice has been given not even assessing their gorgeous bubba 😥. The journey of sleep is just that. I loved 80 Day Obsession... but 1 hour workouts, 6 days a week and a very rigid meal plan was just not realistic. I stuck to it and I got some pretty good results... scroll way back to see those😉 BUT it was not the best fit for my stage of life and for my specific goals... and that's okay! It was so empowering to finish anyways.

Then I started 2B Mindset...flexible but mindful nutrition and optional workouts... PERFECT fit. I dropped 11lbs in a month and really tackled some issues I have with food. I have been doing some Country Heat as my extra credit workouts.. yeeehaaaaw.

Now there is a new program coming out... 30 minute workouts, 4 days a week AND flexible nutrition... that sounds like my jam. I seriously cannot wait to get started.

Moral of the story... There is no "one size fits all". Everyone has different needs, goals, lifestyle. I will forever be thankful for my company who works so hard to make such a variety of programs so there is always something for everyone... and you can never get bored.

There’s so much we still don’t understand about trauma and how to heal from it. There is no magic bullet, no one size fits all solution. 
Currently, certain methods such as EMDR and somatic experiencing are at the forefront of treatment. These are wonderful modalities, especially when employed by a practitioner that you trust and that is trauma informed. But that doesn’t mean they will work for everyone.
It’s hard not to get discouraged when the recommended methods aren’t helping you feel better, but it’s important to remember that treating trauma is very complex. We use the term trauma as an umbrella for a multitude of experiences, but it can’t encapsulate the nuance of each situation. Each person has had a unique experience and is a unique organism and that requires its own unique approach. 
You deserve someone who feels like just the right fit. Many practitioners offer free consultations and also work on a sliding scale. Shop around! Trust your instincts and know that the person that is the right fit will feel like the right fit.

There are different types of fasting and intermittent fasting protocols. Each one has slightly different rules and recommendations. One product may be a must-have in one version and literally a poison in the other. That’s why I recommend using common sense and trying to stick to the list of the allowed intermittent fasting drinks. However, remember that nothing will happen if you end your fast earlier or have your bulletproof coffee in the morning. Make sure to do your best most of them time. Stick to the rules 80% of time (put the 80/20 rule into practice) and remember that making adjustments, being flexible and listening to your body are the recipe for success both with intermittent fasting and a keto diet.

LIQUIDS THAT CAN BE CONSUMED WITHOUT BREAKING A FAST
The following liquids do not break a fast: - Black coffee &  Tea (You can have as much as you want but take it easy on the caffeine). -Water (still & sparkling) - Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) With Lemon Water Or Water . 
ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS
This one is tricky.Many artificial sweeteners are advertised as having zero calories and therefore this means they’re not going to spike insulin. The conclusion was that most don’t per se – some exacerbate the spike of insulin – but only when consumed with carbohydrates. Artificial sweeteners are in a grey area. Generally, one or two is not going to do any harm, but I would avoid artificial sweeteners and diet sodas for other reasons such as the health of your gut microbiome. You don’t have to eliminate them, but there’s some convincing evidence that certain artificial sweeteners wreck havoc on your gut biome.

BONE/CHICKEN/MEAT BROTH
Broths has a lot of great health properties and it is highly recommended on keto & IF. Many people manage to complete their fast by having a few sips here and there of broth.I 
BULLETPROOF COFFEE

Bulletproof coffee is usually full of fat and has quite a bit of calories. Depending on how you prepare it, it may have as much as 20-40 g of fat (or about 200-400 kcal per serving). However, since it’s mostly pure fat, bulletproof coffee doesn’t influence blood sugar or insulin levels. Many people start their day from bulletproof coffee and still lose a ton of weight. That’s why it’s best to experiment to check whether or not drinking bulletproof coffee in a fasted state will let you achieve all your weight loss and health goals.

WHAT IS INTERMITTENT FASTING?
Intermittent fasting is simple. Fasting involves periodically abstaining from food for 16, 18, 20 hours and sometimes for even longer periods of time.

Below are what I consider to be the most common variations of intermittent fasting:

16:8  This involves fasting for 16 hours and eating for 8 hours.

THE 5:2 DIET

The 5:2 diet involves taking two days out of the week (whether they’re consecutive is optional) and eating around 500 calories or 25% of your caloric intake on these days.

THE WARRIOR DIET 20:4

The warrior diet involves eating for 4 hours and fasting for 20 hours.

ONE MEAL A DAY (OMAD)

One meal a day, commonly known as ‘OMAD’ involves eating once per day. In general, this would take you around 2 hours and so it usually ends up as a 22:2 schedule.

PROLONGED FASTING

Prolonged fasting involves fasting for over 48 hours, usually up to around 120 hours. Prolonged fasts have potential benefits on health that isn’t achievable during a regular fasting period. ( If you want to venture into a prolonged fast, please refer to your doctor)
