I believe in ME! I am so grateful for everything I have. 🙏🏻❤️
. ...sometimes I have to say that out loud. Because I’m the type of person who often doubts myself. But I have to remind myself that things did not just come to me and I didn’t get here because of luck. I had to work for everything I have. It wasn’t always a straight path. It took dedication, persistence and hard work. But that’s the way I like it. It feels better to earn something with sweat and tears than to be handed something with no effort at all. (I am speaking of everything in life, not just running or physical endurance). .
I made a pit stop at the sauna because I sold my house without central AC! And I am currently freezing all the time indoors! Improvise. Heat train! Work for it!! 🔥
Sweet potatoes, it’s what’s for dinner! Japanese sweet potatoes, brown rice, black beans, local corn, kale and zucchini from the garden, onion, local mushrooms, homemade green chili sauce, paprika and cumin, half an avocado and a slice of lime. #plantbased#nomeatathlete#highcarb#vegan

Mannnnn, I can’t get enough of @detoxorganics !! It’s keep my stomach on flat flat lol it’s currently that time Of the month for me and yesterday I was hella bloated , I took my @detoxorganics last night and woke up feeling soooo much better !! It’s so many benefits to taking this 3-phase detox but my favorites are the fact that it’s plant based , gives you a boost of natural energy, alkalizes your body , and the fact that it helps you keep a consistent bowel movement! HOW TO BUILD MUSCLE FASTER!
Increased Training Frequency ⇩
It has been widely documented that a vegan/vegetarian diet can lead to quicker muscle recovery, but why?
One of the reasons is due to an increased consumption of antioxidants from fruit and vegetables. Antioxidants play a vital role in delayed onset muscle soreness as they combat ‘free radicals’ that are created during intense exercise. Free radicals are a byproduct of oxygen entering the cells. These are actually damaging and when enough of them are created, they can lead to cell damage and even cell death.
So how does this affect your recovery....
As we know, muscle fibres are broken down during workouts, and repaired over the following days via adequate nutrition. Our bodies use antioxidants to combat the damage free radicals cause to our cells, so by ingesting more of them (especially post workout) we can reduce the harmful effects of free radicals more quickly, leading to faster recovery and less DOMS, in turn, leading to the ability to train more frequently 💪🏼. A great way to boost your antioxidant intake is with a post workout smoothie, loaded with fruit and berries. Stay tuned for some super anabolic post workout recipes. 🌱✌🏼 _

After Monday's barbells & kettlebell workout, I didn't want to work out AT ALL yesterday. . .
I got my mind right running through the Guang Ping Yang style form...uhh... I pretended to #beaunicorn 🦄 😂😂😂. I decided to try one of those infamous 300 swing workouts with a 24kg. . .
It was easier than I thought it would be, but you know what? . .
Back in the middle of June when I committed to getting on my #BruceLeeFlow I couldn't do this workout. I gassed on the first round of 50 swings.
Life lesson 101. Don’t eat a ton of veg protein before you train 💩😂
I love the saying “no-one cares about your protein intake until they hear you are vegetarian “. ( Oh please, give me more unsolicited advice- I love it, really!). It can be used in all walks of life. Tell people you are trying to lose weight and you get bombarded with lots of information and miraculous eating plans.
Want to know the 5 simple steps to staying healthy and/or losing weight?
1. Portion control
2. Eat more veggies
3. Cut out processed food & sugar
4. Prepare to fail, fail to prepare ie,
5. Limit your alcohol and drink more water
There are many other tips, but I find these to be the main ones. It really boils down to
Eat clean and don’t eat too much. Eat to fuel your body, not fuel your emotions. ( Believe me, we are all guilty to scarfing down chocolate on period day, or ordering take out when tired and emotional). Now I’m off to attempt round 2 of my yummy dinner. This time, I’ll let it digest properly. PM me for falafel, hummus, sweet potato or quinoa salad recipes
I used to want my life to be, look, and feel perfect.
No problems, worries, stresses, mistakes, “failures”, hard emotions.
I wanted to feel like I was in total control... but, we all know how that goes, right? 🙄 it’s impossible! And wouldn’t life be boring if we got to “play god”, anyways?
I used to want my Instagram pictures to be “perfect”. And today, I’m like “uh no! This is my story. My page. My coaching. My brand. And I’m gonna be me, without perfect poses and perfect hair.” Sharing my real life, real thoughts, and REAL ways I move through it all.
My story is how I connect. It’s my secret weapon for being the best coach I can be. I don’t don’t want a perfect life anymore, and I don’t want to share as if that’s what is going on behind the screen ☝🏼
I’ve been SO resilient. And consciously creating happiness and healing for myself. I freaking amazing myself everyday. I feel like magic. And I want to share my not-so-secret-secrets with you guys.
If I can get through the things I’ve being getting through and come out the other side happy, motivated, inspired, and at PEACE. Then my job on this planet in this lifetime is to guide you guys to do the same. It’s my gift and my “calling”. Maybe that’s why life put me through all of this... so I can really show up as an example.
I’m offering totally free 30 minute coaching sessions next week 💗 I’ll give them to the first 5 people so I’m not totalllly overwhelmed with clients on “vacation”, soooo if you’re interested either shoot me a DM or sign up in my bio 👍🏼 (it’ll show up as a 15 min session, but it’ll be 30, promise! 🤪)
Talking about choice is important. Understand that a personal choice should only affect you. Saying eating animals is a personal choice is wrong because the animals killed dont want to die and sacrifice their offspring. More importantly it is the leading causes to health illnesses and planetary destruction. Protein, calcium, omega 3 and B12 in not produced by animals, know the truth.
Feeding kids foods disguised as hot dogs, burgers, nuggets, ice cream without them properly understanding where it comes from is not teaching them. Actually you are normalizing the unhealthy diet and cruelty that the food comes from. Teaching children compassion is one of the greatest things you can teach them. The first form of hate that is taught is that one animal is special and another can be tortured and killed to produce 5 mins of pleasure for taste buds. There is a reason kids go to pick apples but not to a slaughter house.
