Taking the next couple days away from my new spot in paradise to try to toss in a helping hand to those who just lost their bit of heaven, and possibly more. Remember, it’s never too late and nothing is too small. (@americanredcross @opbbqrelief)
Three days spent trekking through the Nam Ha National Park, kayaking down the Nam Ha river, sleeping on rocks, fishing for the dinner and washing in rivers! A bed and a shower have never felt so good 😍

LES VOYAGEURS, in search of our own missing pieces
I thought this was fitting with the recent hurricanes we have been having. They caused some damage for sure. I didn’t have any loss of power and I think everyone around here about has their power back on now thankfully...
Life’s storms can hang around and be powerful as well, but they run out of water just like these recent hurricanes. When we weather life’s storms, we learn what we are capable of and we can experience a lot of growth. We just have to keep our umbrella up and lean on our tribe until the sun pops back out.

Recovering the African elephant, the largest animal walking the Earth! With @donalboyd / Although elephant poaching in Africa has declined in the last years, populations continue to fall due to illegal killing and other human activities. The ban on international trade of ivory was introduced in 1989 after years of unprecedented poaching. In the 1980s, an estimated 100,000 elephants were being killed per year and up to 80% of herds were lost in some regions. The ban allowed some populations to recover, although there is still a long way to go in this regard.
Besides the ban on ivory trade, some other initiatives have been successfully implemented in order to protect and repopulate the largest animal walking the Earth. The Erindi Private Game Reserve, for instance, is a good example in this regard. Erindi is a protected reserve in Namibia which has ensured the recovery of the ecological balance leading to sustainable land utilization and socio-economic benefits for all in the area.
Through their Elephant Project, Erindi has relocated over 120 African elephants and there are many more to come. Here this beautiful animals roam freely and their protection from poachers is the main goal. So, if you ever travel to Namibia and you want to photograph this majestic creature, Erindi would be a good place to visit! 🤠 Special greetings to @donalboyd for sharing this mesmerizing photograph with us! Donal is a talented photographer based in Iceland and one of the best when it comes to the conservation of wildlife through visual storytelling!

When I got my Bearded Dragons at 16 I committed to them for life. That’s what pets are for. They’ve lived in about 8 different houses and they have been a royal pain in the arse when it comes to inspection time and you have to find a way to hide two 4 foot vivariums (most renters don’t allow pets). They are already well travelled. They will be joining me in the van as no home is complete without them. They take up a lot of real estate in the van but I am so happy they can join me. I’ve built the stand for their vivariums which will also house my giant 240Ah leisure batteries and the inner workings of the electrical system. Maintaining two 38’c basking spots and two state of the art T5 14% UVB tubes is one reason I need a kick ass electrical system! To live a life where I never need to leave my pets is definitely a dream of mine. ❤️💙 #vanlife#vanlifeuk#vanclan#homeiswhereyouparkit#nomadic#nomadiclifestyle#beardeddragon#pets
💦 Who’s fleeing the desert and heading for the ocean this summer? Or legging it from the north straight to the south? Australia is a massive country with such a variety of climates all through the year. We’re actually very lucky to have so many options. It means we can move to suit our comforts and lifestyle and in a way have some control of the weather we experience. S O M E control.... sometimes the entire country will be hot and you’ll find yourself peeling off the sofa like an old two minute noodle 😅 Nevertheless, the contrast of climates we can get is an advantage for those with itchy feet and a great encouragement to change location if you’re living life on the road. We mustn’t forget that sometimes forced change is good. ⭐️
Walking into this week like nobody’s business 🤣.
