It’s a known fact that 🇯🇵 is trusted for its high standards in delivery of quality. In Kyoto, Tomoiki-san (owner and head bartender) lace his imagination into intoxicating creative juice 🥤in a intimate gin cocktail specialty bar that fits less than 20 people at any given time.
🌿🦗 A space to connect with the nature: Herbs, botanicals, exotic (delicious & edible) insects, and be inspired by the 💯 experimental cocktails at @nokishita.e.g.

who would have thought of using real actual soil in their cocktail? well, folks at Nokishita 711 @nokishita.e.g did, and the effects were curious and fun. with ‘soil & “pumps” session’ they don’t actually mix some dirt into the drink but serve it so that it doesn’t come in contact with what you drink, but gives you a whiff of soil as you sip it. burdock root flavored gin also adds a distinct earthiness to the mix. it may or may not be your thing, but i really enjoyed it. altogether a fun and funky little bar, and would love to go back to try some of their other intriguing concoctions. (also spotted: Kinobi gin by @thekyotodistillery - wish i’d picked up a bottle for home.) #nokishita711#kyotobar#cocktailbar#explorekyoto#ilovegin .
【昆虫食解体新書 -祭-】 いよいよ明日7月6日は100BANCHで多分世界で一番イケてる「昆虫食」をテーマしたイベントが開催！ 【LAB】 Nokishita711 gin & cocktail labo.の セキネ トモイキ (Tomoiki Sekine)による昆虫のカクテルが登場！
昆虫が持つ未知の風味を「液体」に落とし込み、まるで実験を行うように１匹、１匹に彼らが持つ魅惑に迫ります。 【LAB】 “Insects as food” as a subject of experimentation.
The key point of this theme is to test out the subject not as “insects” but as "insects as food". In this way, we will hold a wide range of experimentation.
We aim to explore people’s relationship with food through a bird's eye view by experimenting with when, where, and how we can serve insects as food. In addition, we will take a look at how to procure insects as food ingredients and how to develop a production and distribution system that takes into consideration the relationship between people, society, and insects.
In this way, our experimentation goes deeper than just making delicious food
By considering everything as a part of the insect as food experiment, we can discover what is missing in the conversation of insect as food, thereby clarifying the concept of insect as food.
Through LAB, we want participants to become lost in speculation about insects as food while considering what intentions may lay hidden in this cocktail. ---- 昆虫食を実験対象として捉える。
