Lettuce Wrapped Beef Burger #nobunburger#burger#delicious#healthmadesimplebymelissa
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 8-10 minutes
1 lb lean ground beef
½ cup yellow onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/s tsp pepper
8-12 large green lettuce leaves or butter lettuce leaves
Gather all ingredients. Finely dice the yellow onion. Mince the cloves of garlic.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, 1 egg, the diced onion, garlic, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
Form 4 equal sized patties.
Heat a large, greased skillet to medium high heat (or use the BBQ). Add the burger patties to the skillet and cook for about 4 minutes per side or until the burgers are at the desired temperature.
On a plate, assemble 2-3 pieces of lettuce slightly staggered appart and overlapping. Add a burger patty to the top of the lettuce and add any other desired toppings.
Wrap and serve.
It's food week at 10xWarrior! We wanted to provide you with some great dinner options that are lean and packed with protein. If you have limited time to shop, we suggest using a meal provider like SunBasket or Blue Apron. We've tried both and currently using SunBasket (no this is not an advertisement!). One of the great options is what we call the No Bun Turkey Burger - with 33g of protein per serving. Cook the turkey patties and only use a romaine lettuce leaf or two to wrap the batty after cooked. Top with paleo mayo. Pair it with a side dish of warm peach salad - lightly char the peaches and cherry tomatoes. Add the peaches and tomatoes into a baby kale salad with basil and sherry vinegar dressing. This is an abbreviated version of the directions, but you get the idea. Enjoy! #turkeyburger#leanandmean#protein#10xwarrior#healthymeal
Feeling beat from the heat? ☀️ Check out these no-bun burgers!
Simple to make, delicious, and they won’t leave you feeling heavy like you just ate a brick. .
I simply re-heated a (frozen) burger patty, cut up some fresh tomatoes, avocado, added sprouts, mustard and avocado mayo (by @chosenfoods) - Done! ✌️
If you buy veggie burger patties, make sure they don’t contain any vegetable oils, ingredients you are sensitive to, and are made from real food. There’s plenty of delicious options out there, just make sure you read the label and know what’s good for your personal condition.
Continuing my daily 16-18 hour fast. I have found that gluten stops the weight loss process for me at this time. I am not allergic to it but have found that even while intermittent fasting, it interferes with fat loss which is a primary goal for me for now. I work out 3 times a week, mostly strength training, fast daily, still....if you’re after fat loss, I think the pasta and bread have got to go for a while. So, today I went out to dinner and ordered the scamorza cheese burger with sauteed mushrooms and caramelized onions. Just ignored the buns and fries. I must say, it was still quite delicious and satisfying. Anyways, the first hamburgerd ever invented didn’t have buns!😉😋😜
Five Guys do no bun version too you know 😁
It is so much easier to eat out once in a while and still have a bit of the balance then it ever were. More options and less judging ;) #glutenfree#eatingout#fiveguys#nobunburger
The kids wanted burgers the other day so I switched out the bun for lettuce and served it with a salad instead of the usual chips. I’ve since read beetroot isn’t really Keto friendly and I plan to make my own mayonnaise to use in the future but it’s a good start in my opinion! #keto#ketobeginner#nobunburger#delicious
Post spin tea...Who needs a bun when you can have your venison burger topped with salsa, jalapenos, a slice of Gloucester cheese and a side of butternut squash crinkle cut chips?? #stillincaloriedeficit#nobunburger#lovefood
