"Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude."
🌸 I HATE cancer. It took my mother from me too early. She didn't get to see me become a mother. I didn't get to ask her the million questions in that first year of motherhood of "is this normal". She didn't get to see my progress in sewing, as I followed in her footsteps. My daughter never got to know who her Nani (grandmother) was; and be spoiled by her. Writing all this STILL makes me ugly cry. It will be 6 years next month and while most days are better, a part of me is forever sad.
A friend of mine from my first job (13 years ago) was hoping I could make her a scarf to wear during breast cancer awareness month (October). This scarf was made with love and gratefulness that she is a survivor and can bring hope to those fighting still. Full scarf coming up.
