I can't describe the excitement and happiness we all felt on this flight. Thanks again to @slinkysoars, @kasey_lehua , and the crew at @pacifichelitours for a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget.
Exploring around this desert oasis, getting swarmed by mosquitos and all kinds of different little flys. The fish definitely liked it more than I did as they were jumping out of the water every few seconds to catch a snack. All different kinds of cacti, fish, and tall canyon walls all in one place
Happy Saturday friends! 🤗
Longing for the return of clear skies - or rain - here in San Francisco, as these dangerously smoky skies are really starting to make things feel depressing! So many people are walking around with masks on, the city looks apocalyptic at times, and I heard SF had the worst air quality on the planet yesterday. 😳
But keeping it all in perspective, this is nothing compared to all those who have died (71 so far), are missing (over 1,000), and/or lost their home (nearly 10,000 homes burned to the ground). The smoke here will soon clear and our beautiful city will be visible again in all its glory, but the road to recovery for those impacted by this fire will be just beginning. 🙏🏽
(Btw, even while wearing an N95 mask, I’ve had to limit my outdoor exposure to the absolute bare minimum as I can also feel it in my eyes, in addition to nausea and nosebleeds. I’ve made it a point to take a handful of photos to document this moment in the City’s history, but that’s it.)
❤️ When you own a dog (or two!) not only do they provide constant companionship and a shoulder to lean on when you need it, they get you outside and meeting new people!
Lizzie and Ally get me out of the house everyday for walks, usually twice a day. We get exercise, some fresh air and we often meet people with their dogs along the way. I’ve met some amazing people thanks to my girls, not just in my neighbourhood but in this online community, and some of them have become great friends! I’m so thankful for their unconditional love and the way they can bring us together! #WHPcommunity
BTW in case you’re wondering this isn’t me, it’s my daughter with Lizzie. I’m much too camera shy and prefer to stay behind the camera 👋🏼😊
WOW! That’s probably all you can say once you get back to the lift line after an adrenaline-pumping lap of pow slashin' and pillow poppin'! Now Castle Mountain wants to get you saying WOW after winning their new ski card called the Wonders of Winter Card (or W.O.W. for short!). Here’s the deal: every week they’ll be giving away one (1) W.O.W. card until their Opening Day (December 15th, 2018). All you gotta do is share your favourite “Wonders of Winter” moment on Instagram using #wondersofwinter and tag @castlemountainresort in your post. See link in bio for full contest details.
