Day 310 of #365daysoflitter and day 7 of #2minbcphotochallenge6 - #liftthelid
I do seem to spend a lot of time lifting these friggin lids off the floor.
Part of the problem, I'm sure, is the fact that so.many companies insist that the lids are necessary for health and safety. Awhile back, I was in urgent need of a cup of tea, and didn't have my mug with me. I asked the server to not put a lid in my tea. They said they had to. I said they didn't. They said they did, and I explained that as an adult with no additional needs, I was perfectly capable of carrying a cup without a lid (I said this nicely, of course because there's no point being a twat). They said I needed a lid. I said that I didn't put a lid on my.mugs at home so why did I need to when I'm out and about? They told me off and warned me three times to be careful and duly served me a very refreshing and delicious cuppa.
I was very careful as requested with my beverage, and even went back and reused that 'disposable' cup three more times - that's a whole other palava regarding health and safety - and safely managed to not burn myself all four times with my dangerous lid-free cup.
Felt like a winner indeed.
A nice cup of tea and a slice of chocolate cake we popped to @bluewatershopping centre this morning so we well deserve a nice slice of cake🥺 the Christmas baubles in John Lewis were amazing (see my stories) and I couldn’t resist the copper tree skirt so just waiting now for my Christmas bauble deliveries to arrive and I will be all set to pop our tree up or buy a real tree 😕 unsure which 🤷♀️ depends on our pennies 💷 #tuesdayshopping#tuesday#teatime#nicecuppa#cupoftea#teatime ☕ #tea#teapot#table#afternoontea#afternoon#relax
