Spent some time tonight at our Wake downtown campus for Wake Speaks, where students pitched their Entrepreneurial and Innovative ideas. Great night, awesome students! 🎩🎩🎩 And tonight, I was reminded of two things: 1) I love downtown areas and truthfully, I love downtown Winston-Salem. Great restaurants, shops and vibe! 2) I love working with students. After taking a break for 7-years to be home with my little guy (which allowed me to work from home and hone my communication/marketing skills) it's good to be back in a student/teaching atmosphere. 💥💥💥 Remember this, what you're doing today, is prepping you for your tomorrow. Don't lose sight of this. ❤❤❤
Today when I was going about my daily routine,
one of the patient hospitalized in the ward, suddenly started to go downhill, doctors called for near and dear ones to be with patient in her last few moments of life..
Saw her daughter coming out of the room, sobbing and still trying to hide tears from the world..
I guided her to the empty family room, to let it all out, with heavy heart I closed the door behind me and as I walked towards my desk got offered a piece of dessert, someone was pregnant in the ward and they were distributing sweets...
