From 2015-2017 I lived in Santiago, Chile. They were an incredible two years for me. Chile gave me the time and space to grow as an artist and a woman. Today, I thank that country for inspiring and supporting me through that growing process.🇨🇱 I encourage others to share their stories of growth and inspiration.
It’s Friday, the weather is cooler and there’s a celebration going on in my family this weekend. Fifty years ago, at the tender age of fourteen, I was bridesmaid to my youngest cousin. Moving the clock on half a century, we’ll be raising a toast to a couple who produced three great kids and numerous grandchildren; a wonderful not-so-little family. Families are important, they teach us such a lot about what it is to be human and although the word is mainly used to refer to those you are related to by blood, other kinds of families are just as important, business and creative families like the Upcycled Hour UPCollective. They may live all over the U.K. and Ireland, may only see each other now and then but they are always in touch in some way, always linked by their love of professional upcycling, and a desire to make creative reuse a front row choice. So our Friday grid is dedicated to the work of three members of this unique creative family whose work is so totally different but each one completely awesome in their own way. Top right shows the beautiful work of @whenidecoratethings, lower left it’s a unit from the show-stopping studio of @mucknbrass and lower right, another brilliant piece from @chainage78. Have a great Friday and a super weekend all and a big thanks to new followers, for likes, comments and reposts this week, much appreciated. #upcycledhour#upcollective#creativereuse#creativecommunity#creativefamily#sideboard#cabinet#decorativearts#powerofthehour#elevatingupcycling#flamingo#neworder#newartmovement#fridaymood#interiordecor
