Highlight of today is definitely the visit of a local school. Indeed, it’s not part of the plan at all but when our motorbike reached to a local Farmhouse, I heard a group of children were singing very nicely and I asked the guide whether there’s a school nearby. Subsequently, we trespassed into the school (I only thought to see it from the entrance) and we eventually bumped into the school principal there, after speaking to him for a little while, I was so glad to be invited to go into a classroom and even to be a adhoc visiting teacher. After the ice-breaking question “make a guess where do I come from?”, the class started to be active and I really love the interaction with them all. It’s a mini geography lesson and for the 15 minutes I spent with them, I share with them some basic knowledge about norther lights and Milky Way together with the photos on my iPhone.
Indeed, I’m the one who learn the most today as they all made me realised what is the meaning of happiness!! If you scroll to the right of the photos series, you will find the road which the pupils walked up to the school everyday, technically it’s not safe especially for the younger ones.
Hopefully my little contribution would bring some colours to the kids and looking forward to seeing them again.
