I’ve always been an endurance athlete. Run all day. Ironman. Adventure race ... bring it on. But I’ve always had a story I can’t build muscle mass. Turns out. It’s just a lie. Like most limitations we place on ourselves ... it’s just a story we make up in our heads. The fact is - the human body is incredibly adaptable. Stimulate it specifically, nourish it with the right fuel at the right time, find a mentor who had gone before you to make the fastest path front point A where you are to point B where you want to be ... and it’s not a matter of if you will get there, but when. Then when you get there ... you always realise it’s not the final destination. The question becomes how far you can go. Witnessing my body add 6 kg of lean muscle mass in a couple of months has been pretty cool to experience. This is one of my fave upper chest exercises which had always been lacking. Get in the grind and feed the gains.
