I saw the conference Honda assumed the Cambodia soccer national team of the manager. I thought it was very hard for him to wear two hats, soccer player and the national team manager.
I get the feeling that it isn't easy to do the professional soccer player with having another work, but I feel like that he can do it.
Although I'm not a fan of him, I can't keep my eyes off him from now on.
This is a post about Honesty, Mental Strength, Perspective, Transparency, Accountability, Body Image & Self Esteem. ---
Think of the image that shows up on your phone when you flip the camera for a selfie but phone is still at waist level. After the initial shock of seeing your face from 'that' angle, you generally reposition & work away.
Now imagine that initial image in public domain. ---
All 6 images in the pic above are unfiltered, taken at same events, or days apart. ---
The 2 in the middle column came out in media, from what most of you know as the dreaded angle: the 'worm's eye view'.
Prompting messages from buds/rellies along the lines of (translations),
"Apa dah jadi/what happened to you?; Sejak bila besar/since when so fat?;
Why did the paper take/choose terrible pics?";
and the oscar goes to: "You must lose weight, then only can pregnant".
One buddy softened her blow with "nevermind, even though big, still sweetest smile." 🤣
So here's the thing.
A bad pic is not the end of the world.
Many other things in life to worry about.
Of course there was that initial "Wtf! Am I that fat" natural monologue that went on for about 2 seconds, followed by a get-over-it sentiment as the pics clearly showed was passionate about the subject matter. ---
So am using these 2 examples of 'fat pics' juxtapositioned with other images to demonstrate how different angle/background, environment modifies ones perspective.
Don't blindly follow & believe marketing schpiels.
The middle pics could be 'befores' & the others 'afters'.
Reminder not to take things & ourselves too seriously. ---
The 2 reporters & 2 photographers conducted excellent interviews resulting in exemplary journalism.
So even if look fat, so what.
No biggie (pun intended). I had the opportunity to meet genuine folks & learn new things🏆
Hope this post makes you feel better the next time you have dodgy pics. Just remember it could've been worse => been in print/online resulting in slew of "what happened to you" queries 🤣
