Today is "National Bring your Cat to the Vet Day” We would like to highlight the importance of routine wellness care for your feline family. At RegionalVet we recommend that both dogs and cats be seen twice yearly for preventive care examinations. Cats like dogs age more quickly than humans. Recently, "Ice" was seen for his wellness exam and it was noted that he needed a dental and one tooth extracted. We are happy to say that Ice went home after his procedure and is doing great. Call and schedule your furry feline 's wellness exam today! #catsofinstagram#alwaysthereexceptionalcare#regionalvet#catsofinstagram#nationalbringyourcattothevetday#veterinarymedicine#vetmed#cats
• WHEN WAS YOUR CAT’S LAST VET VISIT? • Today is #NationalBringYourCatToTheVetDay ! 🐈 If it’s been awhile since your #cat has had a check-up at your local vet’s office, take the opportunity of this kitty holiday to schedule an appointment. An annual physical exam by your vet is an important way of monitoring your pet’s health. Routine physical exams allow your vet the chance to discover early stages of developing illnesses so that a prompt diagnosis can be made and treatments initiated in order to slow disease progression or even offer a cure in many cases before conditions worsen. Regular physical exams and routine diagnostic tests (such as bloodwork and urinalysis) save lives! If you’ve been avoiding your veterinary hospital due to the stress of removing your cat from the comfort of his or her home in order to travel to the vet clinic, you have options! Ask your vet about ways you can help reduce your cat’s stress and fear during vet appointments, seek out a fear free-certified or feline-only practice, or find a mobile veterinarian who will come directly to your home.
Visit The Meowing Vet’s website at www.themeowingvet.com/blog for all things cat-related. 😺 You’ll learn more about what your vet can detect during a physical exam, including the early signs of certain emerging feline diseases, as listed below:

National Bring Your Cat to the Vet Day is tomorrow!
Did you know that 83% of cats visit the veterinarian before their 1st birthday, but over 50% don’t return until they become sick or are in pain. With regular healthcare, your veterinarian can often detect conditions that may affect your cat’s long-term health.

AUGUST 22nd: National Bring Your Cat to the Vet Day!! 🙀🙀🙀 "What'd you say mom?!" That's right! 😌 There's a national day to get your furry felines (unless you have a hairless cat) checked out! Some major medical diagnoses with cats include but are not limited to: obesity, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, periodontal disease, flea infestation, conjunctivitis, kidney disease and heart murmurs. And while some of these diagnoses listed are inevitable to our kitties, we humans can help by managing them, if not completely preventing them! 🙂
