Happy Friday! 👐🏼👐🏽👐🏾👐🏿
This is Lauren, She is the talent behind the beautiful illustrations of the book!!
Who is your favourite character?
“Why is it important for you to get the message out there – for children & parents to become environmentally aware”
- “I think humans see themselves as separate from the ecosystem. Which is totally ironic since we're the number one contributor to pollution. I think understanding that you are part of nature and this is all our home gives a shift in perspective. Phytoplankton in the ocean is responsible for making 50-85% of the Earth's oxygen. We breathe that. We rely on it to keep us breathing. We need to think a little harder about the habits we have that contribute to pollution or a bad ethos. I know it can all feel exhausting but just doing your one little part can make a big difference.”

Sometimes to dream is to sleep.
The struggles of surviving the sacrifices of creativity. I have detached, I am planning the structure of my struggles.
Time has humbled me.
Who wrote this? Someone said; hustle is about survival.
I say; the universe has no answers.
How do we diversify life to open minded entrepreneur who profits from the sustainability of this here struggle?
Oh heeeyy Monday, is that you.
Just give me a few minutes to wake up.💤
@robvanvuuren on creating awareness:
“The planet is under massive threat. As parents it is our duty to try and do what we can to not ruin it for our children and to raise children who also want to preserve life on this planet.”
This weather calls for hot chocolate snuggled up under the duvet 🌧🥛✨
What is your favourite bed time story?
@robvanvuuren "We read to Bij every day. It’s just part of our routine. Even if I’m working all day and gigging at night I will try my best to find the time to read a bedtime story to her before heading out to a show. If I’m away from work, reading to her is one of the things I miss the most.”

@danibischoff - As a mother and why it was important to launch this book:
“It’s been important for me to show Bijou (my daughter) that I am interested in her interests. Most of the things in the book are inspired by her interests or things we are dealing with as a family. It’s also important to show her by example that you don’t have to wait around for people to give you an opportunity. You can go out there and find people that believe in your vision and want to create something special. No matter how big and scary it might seem you can achieve anything with one step at a time”

The new book - The Great Pangolin Mystery launching soon 🚀✨ -
@laurenxfowler - When is your favourite time to illustrate?
“When I'm inspired! It's hard to force yourself to draw. Sometimes I'll pick up a pencil, put in on the page and what comes out is not the same as what I had in mind, then I just leave it and say, maybe later...There are other times that I'm just randomly making lines on a page and then I'll think, "Yass illustration, let's get into something."
