MarCO-B, or WALL-E, one of the experimental Mars Cube One (MarCO) CubeSats, took this image of Mars from about 4,700 miles (7,600 kilometers) away during its flyby of the Red Planet on Nov. 26, 2018. MarCO-B was flying by Mars with its twin, MarCO-A, to attempt to serve as communications relays for NASA’s InSight spacecraft as it landed on Mars. “WALL-E and EVE performed just as we expected them to,” said MarCO chief engineer Andy Klesh of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, which built the CubeSats. “They were an excellent test of how CubeSats can serve as ‘tag-alongs’ on future missions, giving engineers up-to-the-minute feedback during a landing.” #nanosat#cubesat#mars#thelittlecubesatthatcould#nasa#jpl

NASA's InSight lander touched down safely on the Martian surface today (Nov. 26), pulling off the first successful Red Planet landing since the Curiosity rover's arrival in August 2012 — on the seventh anniversary of Curiosity's launch, no less.
After six and a half months of traveling through space, InSight hit the top of Mars’ atmosphere a little before 3PM ET. It then made a daring descent to the surface, performing a complex multi-step routine that slowed the lander from more than 12,000 miles per hour to just 5 miles per hour before it hit the ground. To get to the surface safely, InSight had to autonomously deploy a supersonic parachute, gather radar measurements, and ignite its thrusters all at the right time. Altogether, the landing took just under seven minutes to complete, prompting the nickname “seven minutes of terror.” During the plunge, two tiny spacecraft above Mars gathered data of the entire event. The pair of probes are known as the MarCO satellites, and they actually launched in May with InSight from California. The two satellites are modified CubeSats, a type of standardized spacecraft made out of 10-centimeter cubes. Our team started yesterday to carry out the structural static mechanical simulations to verify all the improvement points of the satellite carcass. In this type of analysis we can see if the material used is the best, where fragile points and more check items may be possible.

Nosso objetivo para essa primeira missão será, analisar e estudar as alterações de temperatura, umidade e pressão atmosférica baseado nas diferentes alturas até o apogeu, e gravar o registro dessas informações no SD Card para apresentar um estudo a respeito disso.

It is with pride that I present the first final structure of my satelite. Arduino support bracket fixed to the body of the satelite and metal structure of the levels installed successfully.
We are now continuing to produce the rev003 shield, the last remaining part of the VADER I project, once the shield is ready we will be fully functional and ready for our first mission!
Our goal for this first mission will be to analyze and study the changes in temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure based on the different heights to the apogee, and record the recording of this information in the SD Card to present a study on this.
I take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support so far and also to thank the messages and opportunities that this mission is opening for me and for the Brazilian space program.

O ultimo estagio que estava pendente era a programação do datalogger, o qual foi finalizado hoje com o auxilio do nosso grande amigo Engenheiro Flavio Ribeiro, os dados dos sensores estão sendo gravados no SD Card no padrão CSV o qual facilitará a analise dos dados futuros. Agradeço grandemente a você Flavio pelo esforço e ajuda, o qual sem esse auxilio não poderiamos estar em status de pleno funcionamento.

It is with immense pride that I come to inform you that our second nano satellite VADER I is with all its programming running perfectly. It is an immense joy for me this moment because it is the fruit of much effort and dedication to this project. The last stage that was pending was the programming of the datalogger, which was finalized today with the help of our great friend Engineer Flavio Ribeiro, the data of the sensors are being recorded in the SD Card in the standard CSV which will facilitate the analysis of the future data. Thank you very much to Flavio for the effort and help, which without this help we could not be in full functioning status.
With the programming finished we have now progressed to the next stage which is the construction of the final structure of the nano satellite, to all of us thanks for the support and support.

It was concluded today with the programming of the sensors that will be used in the first mission. The measurements to be performed can be checked on the next serial monitor along with the real-time RTC information. Next step of the mission is the configuration of the datalogger to save the measurements made throughout the process. O objetivo do trabalho de hoje era continuar com os upgrades da placa dos sensores do VADER I. Hoje iniciamos os trabalhos desenvolvendo uma placa nos padrões dos shields de Arduino UNO, sendo o objetivo final, eliminar de vez a necessidade de fios para as conexões, sendo todas as conexoes feitas pelas trilhas da placa. Ainda falta muito para resultar na placa final, porém estamos tendo um grande avanço a cada dia. Com a versão 00 da placa pronta podemos iniciar os preparativos para o primeiro protótipo.
The goal of today's job was to continue with the upgrades of the VADER I sensor board. Today we started the work by developing a board in the patterns of the Arduino UNO shields, the ultimate goal being to eliminate the need for wires for connections, being all the connections made by the board tracks. There is still a long way to go on the final plate, but we are having a great head start every day. With version 00 of the ready plate we can start the preparations for the first prototype.

MrsFarmer and I grow in a SeaOfGreen stadium setup, so we put Plants in every 3-4 day's, A-and, take and Harvest every couple day's. So, this NanoSat is being used every couple day's, and we're LOVING this machine, it's staying in our possession Forever, wouldn't go back to scissor trimming.
These are before trimming & after trimming, flash and No flash, this machine is worth every penny it cost, and I can't imagine being without it, this is a very useful time saving Machine.

MrsFarmer and I use this machine every day with Fantastic Trimming & absolutely LOVE this thing.
