It’s in moments like these where I have nothing to focus on except for the task at hand do I find a pure sense of bliss. Glad I was able to capture this during my brief visit back in Santa Cruz over the summer🌊
Over the Edge
While shooting fall colors in Michigan last week, the weather was less than optimal. Steady rain is seldom a good forecast for photography, but one can only sit in a hotel room for so long, so we decided to hit up one of the more impressive waterfalls in the area. We were delighted to find some of the best color around and the added fog was a great bonus. It was raining the whole time we were there but it was just light enough that we could keep our gear “relatively” dry. Just for scale, the water is dropping over 100 ft. here and I was about 2 feet from the edge.
The universe is one great kindergarten. Everything that exists has brought with it its own peculiar lesson. The mountain teaches stability and grandeur; the ocean immensity and change. Forests, lakes, and rivers, clouds and winds, stars and flowers, stupendous glaciers and crystals snowflakes every form of animate or inanimate existence, leaves its impress upon our soul.

I've wanted a paddle board for sooo long, and the day has finally come! These suckers are expensive AF, so I had to wait until the very end of the season before it snows to snatch one up! Got one of the top name brands for less than 1/3 of the price, booyah 👊🏼 #VESL
