Sometimes I still can’t believe it, when I look in the mirror, the changes my body has made in less than 6 months! I can’t say I have been perfect along the way but I am consistent with my Refit and Plexus! I try to eat as healthy as possible and avoid sugars, carbs and caffeine at all costs! Down 12 pounds and 7 inches since June! The bottom 2 pictures I am wearing a shirt 2 sizes smaller as well as my shorts! ONE WEEK progress and I'm SO EXCITED!! This has been THE BEST experience in my second EVER test group too!! WHY I ❤️ it?? It's not rigid - ONLY 4 days a week..
I had Ice Cream yesterday with no guilt BECAUSE we are allowed treat meals..
I can get back to my yoga practice AND add in my marathon training too!! 👉Our challengers are NOT feeling defeated since it is for beginners.
👉Our veterans are STILL feeling soreAF too!! So excited - to have completed my first headstand with my arms for the FIRST TIME..
AND seeing my back progress has been fun too!! I LOVE how our trainer is talking to us daily in our exclusive group and giving us pep talks, and the inside deets how to maximize this program.. HE SAID PLEASE EAT MORE LOL!!!

150 double unders + 30 burpees
100 double unders + 20 burpees
50 double unders + 10 burpees
Time: 16:31 (need to get more consistent with double unders), went downhill after I strung 53 together haha still fun, still an amazing sweat and workout!!! CrossFit is the most empowering sport I have done in my whole life... It's all about putting in the work, being willing to try new things, and listening and learning from your coaches and more experienced crossfitters! I’m completely spent from my training run but no matter what meal plan has to happen.. You can’t go in guessing how you will eat for the week.. I can promise you it will not work if you have big goals ❤️ Keep it simple.. don’t do a bunch a recipes..
And be consistent in some of your main meals.. it will help!

July 22nd 2018 update. Weighed in at 176.8lbs this morning which is down from last week. I cut my calories by 200 each day to try and keep a summer body a little longer. There is no way I could do this alone!! All the stretching that I have incorporated this week, has really improved my endurance, and more importantly soreness.. Even though pace isn’t where it’s at.. my focus is running and finishing injury free.. I’m fully recovered on my own of planters fasciitis.. I would never wish that on anyone.. Train wisely and your body will thank you 🙏
Now to hydrate, meal prep, and spend time with my grandbaby.. What’s on your agenda today?
Comfort is the enemy of achievement- success LIVES on the outside. I’ve been a working coach for about 8 months, and let me tell yah- I’ve heard every excuse in the dang book. If you’re easily offended- stop here! 🛑 ✋🏻 1. I’m too busy! Ok friend, do you think my life isn’t crazy? I’m a MOM of three crazy girls 6 and under. I am my own boss- my own maid- the chef- the driver- the entertainer- YOU name it. But amidst ALL of this crazy beautiful life, I have gaps in my day and guess what- so do YOU or you wouldn’t be here reading this. So, until you create a schedule for every hour (of every waking day); until you tell me you don’t watch tv or even SIT down; you have TIME too.
2. I lack the motivation. LOL, girl. Hold on. You think I had ANY motivation at 220lbs? Do you think I had ANY motivation when I was depressed, full of self hatred, and sick. Absolutely not. My coach lended me hers until I found my way! That’s what we DO!
3. I have a diagnosis. Ok. Yes. LIFE can be more challenging when there’s something physically ailing you or mentally draining you. It means you need to work HARDER, but it doesn’t mean you get to QUIT. I have PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder: sure it makes life interesting, but it does not DEFINE me. You are bigger then that label. Do not use it as a crutch- wear it as a badge and be damn proud of yourself for the fight. There are men and women in wheelchairs (who have literally lost limbs) rolling around on basketball courts and you’re going to tell me it’s too hard? No. It’s not.
4. That’s way too much money. First of all- what the heck are you guys comparing this to? I DARE you to find a gym, a personal coach, 30 meals upfront, and a bright future ahead of you for less. Second, this is your LIFE. Let me repeat; YOUR LIFE. How much do you value that? How much do you value seeing your kids grow up and marry, and seeing their babies blossom? How much do you value waking up with zest and happiness at your door? Apparently- you prioritize the latest iphones and android above yourself, so sister- we’ve got some work to do.
I can sit here and speak the hard truths no one wants to hear. GET OUT OF YOUR WAY- AND STEP INTO YOUR LIFE

Yesterday my mood was off. Wasn’t mad, just wasn’t myself.
Not sure if you heard, but Thursday evening we had a storm quickly develop. That storm while I was outside admiring its beauty, force, and unfortunate destruction; others lost their lives. In Branson Missouri, not far from where I reside (most of the time), families had to deal with the worst fear of mine. They were enjoying their vacation, and then they were gone. For whatever reason this tragedy has effected my mood way more than normal.
Everyday we should be thankful for our time, as it may seem we have forever. We do not. We could instantly be gone, and not even see it coming. Treasure your moments, make them count, they may be your last.
Times like these are typically when I would head to the pantry and eat. That’s where the struggle bus comes in. I am fighting every thing I have, typically this is where I fail.
My thoughts are with those families that lost loved ones this week. We as humans need to stop everything that separates us. We need to stop being offended by other people’s actions, and worry about ourselves. We need to live together.
No matter who you are, you can confide in me. No matter religion, political stance, sexual preference, or anything else. I’m here.
The only bad workout is the one that didn’t happen 👊🏼

It doesn’t need to be an hour long workout....it doesn’t have to happen everyday....just start and take action.
If you keep putting it off until Monday... maybe that Monday will never come. Just start slow and don’t put a high expectation on yourself. If you are just starting out & make a goal for every day it might be hard to maintain & then you could get discouraged & stop. Start slow ... it can be a short walk....10 minute run... yoga.... or a group cardio class a few times a week... anything works just start!
The key is to start & just... keep swimming 🐠 (haha my son and I watched Finding Nemo last night)
Keep moving & keep progressing & your consistency will develop & momentum will build. Adding one brick at a time, soon those bricks will be a wall, & soon you’ll have a foundation & have strong habits to take you wherever you want to be.

What do you do when your day isn’t going in the direction you hoped for?
Let’s start off with agreeing that we have our good days but we also have our bad days. Life has its twists and turns...things happen that we have no control over...this is just a fact of life. So what do we do when the day isn’t going how we hoped it would be?
Some of you might be wondering “Why are you even asking this, Luke?”. I’m asking because I believe a lot of us here have great techniques we can share with others who are going through some rough patches...who need a little pick me up to get them back on track.
With that, here is what I do! And, I’m not saying it is the cure all but it definitely helps me so maybe I can help some other people by sharing it.
- Go for a walk (Leaving the environment that I am currently in and stepping out into nature...leaving the boundaries of my room’s four walls and going to a place with fresh air and openness makes me feel much more relaxed)
- Think about what you are grateful for in life (When I think about what I am grateful for I often realize how blessed I am which often brings about positive thoughts and vibes)
- Tell someone you love them (Love is such a power thing. When I go up to a loved one and tell them how much I care for them and how important they are to me the problem that was eating at me often subsides because I have replaced it with something much more important...I have replaced it with something much more powerful...and that is love)
